Lots of definitive statements either way in this thread. Can some of you pass me the euro millions numbers as well please!

I think we will probably sneak our way to safety, around game 37 maybe, but its absolutely not certain. We are right in the mix. No one can be sure about what will happen.

We’re definitely far from dead at this point. Leicester could get sucked into it as well, especially if we can get a result against them.
No one in the bottom half is safe. This table is shaping up like the 2017-18 table, where we finished 8th on 49 points. The drop ended up being 33 points, with Southampton safe on 36. Swansea finished with five straight losses to get passed by three clubs, and was relegated in 18th.

Five wins should sort us. Four wins, and we likely need some draws as well. Anything less is dodgy at best. The question is where the wins are going to come from.

Teams further up the table need fewer wins for safety, but they do need to get them. Leicester, Villa and Palace have all cooled off of late. The only teams Palace has beaten in the league since mid-November are Norwich and...us. The only team abject enough to lose to Villa since Christmas was...us. Leicester hasn't won in the league since scalping the RS right before New Year's.

It will come down to who can string some wins together down the stretch, the way Newcastle has of late. The teams that don't will be the ones that drop.

I just think we need to have the mantra that it's not over until it's over, us the fans mostly have it, Lampard has it, some of these players need it kicking into them

Every game should be a battle. We are running out of time.

After the city game we need to go hard at everyone.

We're gonna need a bit of luck along the way

Arguebaly so called 5 central midfielders who we paid massive money on plus big wages have helped caused this situation
Gomes - Siguurdson - Delph - Gbamin - iwobi!
Iwobi isn’t a central midfielder and we didn’t spend massive money in buying Delph compared to the others in that list.

Honestly i dont think its in them. Im not saying they go out to be poor. But the mental toughness..it just isnt there. They've been coasting here for to long on top money. I dont believe it hurts them to lose.
In short. To many of the are not arsed.

I think we will definitely see benefit to doucoure coming back. Just hoping he can see it out til the end of the season without another injury.

I would bring mykolenko back immediately he will play for the shirt and adds a natural left sides player

Tbh we can go round in circles about what we can, we literally have no control all we can do is support the team and keep Goodison noisy like the Leeds game.

Tell me you were a witness to Wimbledon and Coventry games? Horrible times

Based on the fact we beat them 3-0..
We beat Arsenal...

Leeds right now are in less trouble than Everton because they are above us in the table.

If we scrape a point v City and they lose their next two games then we'll go above them and they'll be in more trouble.

The teams below us are the only ones in more trouble than us.

Surely leeds are in bigger trouble than us?!
I would say roughly the same amount of trouble. There's not a lot between us, Newcastle, Leeds, Brentford as it stands.

Newcastle are the in form team, which puts them ahead of the rest but only slightly. The bottom 3 are still in the most trouble but the gap has closed this weekend. We'd be lucky to get 1 point from our next 2 games, and then we really will be in the thick of it.

I think Dyche might keep Burnley up but I dont think Woy can do it for Watford. Norwich are dead men walking. Newcastle will get safe somehow. so the question is who joins Watford and Norwich? We are right in the mix along with Brentford and Leeds but have games in hand on both. Of course games in hand mean nothing if you can't get any points from them. It maight be tight.

I think we'll survive, but looking at these fixtures it's pretty difficult, and its going to kill our nerves!
Say we need another 15 points to reach 37, here's my hope for the results below:
and it needs a couple of really tough results out of the ordinary ! They are marked **
Our remaining games:

Man City - home L but not a thrashing
Spurs - away L
Wolves - home D
Newcastle - home W **
Watford - away D**
West Ham - away D**
Man U - home D
Palace - home W **
RS - away L
Chelsea - home D**
Leicester - away L
Brentford - home W
Arsenal - away L

Games to be rearranged - Burnley - away L and Leicester - home. D
I'm hoping for 'not a thrashing' cos that's a positive result from Man City, and in the middle there a 6 match unbeaten run. It's going to take something that hasn't been done this season, even if we look at it objectively!
GULP!!! How did we get where we are !! 15 points from the last 15 games is rubbish, but really tough to get. Thanks Rafael :) EDIT:Thanks, Koeman, Moshiri,Allardyce & Silva. Thanks Carlo for bailing. Thanks Delph for your leadership.
