We know the players all crumble when the atmosphere is against them in away games Guardiola would struggle to turn those whimpering wet farts into a team that will go and beat teams away after 6 month, never mind 3 weeks.
Wich is exactly why we shouldnt play hollywood football. We played Leeds off the park, but inhindsight mainly because of a new system that has been quickly found out.

Every new manager seems to want to reinvent the wheel here. Wich its a waste of time given our players. Time we dont have. We need points in the next 8 weeks, with little opportunity.

Interesting take there my friend. I strongly suspect if Lampard did do that he'd be being beaten up for not taking off a red card risk.
Or, plot twist, he couldv done something different. Add a midfielder instead of changing like for like. If he had just added gomes to allan and vdb they collectively wouldnt have gotten into so much trouble.

The blue print for beating us seems obvious to almost all our opponents: flood our midfield, starve passing options and watch our defense disintegrate.

Hollywood football ?
You're getting worse.

I reckon burnley are staying up for sure, their performances have steadily improved, have a manager and players used to being in this position etc.

it depends on if Norwich and brentford go on a run.I can’t see are own players fighting for their lives for a point, they aren’t built for a relegation scrap. I still think we will stay up, but it will be super close and will be because of the 4 or 5 wins we got at the start of the season.

what’s clear though is these bunch of players are a disgrace and the structure of the club is a farce. No manager is at fault for building this team. And we fans have bigged them up and
overrated them for years.

Frank will drag us over the line. Richarlison, Gray and I think Townsend will get the goals we need to see us safe. With Doucs back in alongside Alan and DVdB we’ll be significantly stronger. Hopefully DCL gets up to speed and bags a few too.

I'd be absolutely stunned if we went down. The squad clearly has big deficiencies but we've got far more quality than the teams below us or directly above us like Brentford who we have 3 games in hand on and still to play at home (who we've just smashed). Leeds don't look like winning games either and we've just smashed them as well.

It'd be the biggest failure since West Ham went down with Di Canio, Joe Cole, Carrick, Defoe and co and they at least managed 42 points, so it'd be even worse as that'd get you lower mid table now. You'd probably have to go back to the Forest team under Clough and that was because he'd lost it but was unsackable.

Short of a dreadful injury crisis or something we'll get the points needed.

That's an excellent tactical innovation there mon ami. Maybe that was an option originally. Maybe Lampard decided equal numbers was the better bet. We'll never know.

On a different note, you seem to offer a unique voice to the forum. A different take to many posters. I for one would welcome more involvement from such as yourself. May I humbly suggest you try a poll to answer one of your burning posers? Or maybe attempt a match preview?

Quickly found out? Why? We’ve won our two games at Goodison under him, it’s not like we’ve been getting results away before.

Newcastle was always going to be a tough game due to their new signings and their place in the league, and Southampton had just beaten Spurs away and should have beaten the Mancs away.

I’m pretty sure any new manager is meant to try and change things, as he has taken over from someone who couldn’t.

See the way Leeds played with heart: they'll stay up.

They have major players out but still have their system and workrate and honesty.

Compared to them we're a shambles.

We have had a dreadful injury crisis all season. Our results are relegation level. The table doesn’t lie.

We will be bottom there’s in mid March after defeats to City and Spurs. After that, who knows?

And still not been in the bottom 3 despite results going to hell under Benitez. When we've been without Richarlison and DCL the likes of Gray, Townsend or Gordon have stepped up. Without Doucore VDB came in last week and had a fine game. There's far more quality to play with than what the teams around us have.

Leeds for example have dropped like a stone without Kalvin Phillips and Bamford.

We are eighteenth in the form table. We will loose the next two games.

We are not too good to go down. I struggle to see where the points will come from to keep us up. I can’t see us getting past 34. Which may or may not be enough.
