So these are the relevant games before we play Spurs

Leicester City v Leeds United
Burnley v Chelsea
Newcastle United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Norwich City v Brentford
Watford v Arsenal

Im hoping Norwich beat Brentford, they will still be 2 points behind us but we will have 3 in hand on them and 4 on Brentford, ill be shocked if Watford and Burnley get anything, hopefully little damage is done before we play

Not sure our players can cope with Amy’s of pressure at all so the more free swings we can get on weekends when everyone else has lost the better.

So much for fortress Goodison helping us stay up, the crowd reverted to type after the initial 15mins and the players could feel the anxious negativity from the crowd. If we are going to stay up the home fans need to keep the positivity levels up.
The crowd was toxic after 5 minutes by me. I hate our fans we are awful.

It’s dead, dead hard to be super positive and cheery when you’re watching our players walk around playing like it’s a training session the day after they’ve been out on the ale. The intensity has to be there on the pitch first.

That's true. But the Leeds game for example, we were up for it before a ball had been kicked. Before they showed us whether they were up for it or not. We need that.

We can only do so much as fans, ultimately, it's down to the players. But the Park End last night wound me up. Fans kicking off at the younger players isn't great. TBH, cup crowds always annoy me. Half of them can't find their seat (baffles me how hard this is??) and spend the entire game shouting some of the most ridiculous shouts.

It was that bad in the street end we walked out at half time and watched it on the tele at home . The goodison crowd is a massive burden to the players at times .though they don’t need an excuse to play cowardly half the time .

We started that game very fast and had an attack within the first couple of minutes. There was no casual strolling about. The players need to lift the crowd and not the other way around. The crowd will respond to what’s going on on the pitch, the player’s attitude in that first half last night was poor and complacent.

The attitude in the first half was wrong for me. There was no urgency to move the ball and they were doing things they wouldn't do against a better opponent. We were playing risky passes out from the back, and not putting the ball into the box. The atmosphere was never going to be brilliant at a game like that.

Goodison is a huge asset still and will be the reason we get out of trouble, if we stay up. The idea our home crowds are the problem is surely not still a thing?

I don’t disagree mate . It was never going to be great but it didn’t need to be as bad as it was either. We have a large amount of whoppers who follow us .

Can see Leicester having an upturn now. They battered Burnley away and got through in the end.

Newcastle will beat Brighton IMO. They'll have a nice gap to be comfortable after.

I don't trust Chelsea one bit. They aren't clinical enough and prone to concede at least a goal.

Arsenal could slip up easily too.

arsenal look good now

arteta has done a great job with the youth players there like emile-rowe, saka, martinelli, odegaard and even nketiah now

getting rid of aubamayeng has definitely helped i think

they had 26 shots at goal against wolves, we had less shots against boreham wood

I'm still worried because we are bunk away from home and fall to bits and although performances have improved at home we only have one win on the board that's why that none pen on the weekend was such a gut punch we deserved a point. We need every point we can get.

I cant go as much as i used to but the frustration levels within Goodison kick in super quick and the whole tone changes even quicker. wasnt expecting a Goodison Roar last night but was super quiet, is why The Wood Army baited us all night as away fans seem to on a regular basis.

I wish we had some of the noise and passion levels of CP and the Saints and even Leeds at the moment are loud constantly!

My days of going week in week out are long over as too far away but its hard to fathom how we cant get the noise levels up and yes we have been served some dross over the years and it sucks the life out of you but Goodison is a Loud ground and we are gonna need that til the end of the season.

Its sad really!
Because we were struggling against a none league team

if chelsea beat burnley we won't go down

it means we can still lose to spurs away from home and not be in the bottom 3 with 13 games still left to play and with games in hand against all the clubs around us

we then have back to back home games against wolves and newcastle

those 2 games will define the rest of our season whether we will still be in a relegation battle come end of season or if we will just end up being a midtable side who finishes 14th or 15th.
I dont by stuff like that based on that one game at all, we have so many tough games still to play, and games in hand will never auto mean a win the way some say we will win because we have games in hand, you have to win them is that all that counts, but the less games others have around us the better

The Park End is a disgrace, three times moved seats there, the third out. Some of the worst supporters in the league

I noticed last night the street end standing, would never see the park end standing, what ever that means.
