Because we were struggling against a none league team
First half we were, not so much struggling, but were choked by a team intent on being just obstructive, organised, effective and here for their "final" you could hardly blame them for frustrating us but we were quiet pre kick off with a near full house.

We made necessary changes but not struggling, a little devoid of how to manage it maybe.

If we wanna be the "cauldron of noise" then yes, we have to have something to be vocal about and christ we are gonna need that noise for the rest of the season. Our away fans can do it and I enjoy the buzz at away games way more, but we've been this way for a good while but yet other teams support manage it regardless of results, so why not us overall regardless of the opposition?

Its starting to look good last few games no way in hell we get relegated. If our last 5 premier league games are to go by.

This weekend there is a few fixtures which affect us, which way do we need these to go?

Leicester v Leeds
Probably need a Leicester win here to keep Leeds in trouble but Leicester arent in the best form but with 30 points are probably out of the scrap. Leeds worry me because they looked like they were easily sliding in to the relegation zone along with Brentford, the last thing we need is for Leeds and Brentford to pick points up.

Saturday

Villa v Southampton
Both these clubs are probably clear of the scrap.

Burnley v Chelsea
Need a Chelsea win to keep us out of the relegation zone, if they can score a few goal that would be helpful.

Newcastle v Brighton
A Brighton win could see Newcastle dragged back in if we can start picking up results with Brighton clear of the scrap, cant see anything other than a Newcastle win a SJP to be honest but Brighton are a good side.

Norwich v Brentford
A Norwich win would see them go to 20 points, just 2 shy of us whilst a Brentford win will see them go 5 ahead of us but we will have 4 games in hand on them, a defeat for Brentford today could see them in real trouble having played 28 games.

Wolves v Palace
Both clubs clear of the scrap, doesnt affect us

RS v West Ham
Nor arsed, obviously hope West Ham can cause an upset but cant see it.

Sunday

Watford v Arsenal
Watford could go level on points with us if they beat Arsenal albeit with a GD of 9 worse off, I cant see this and hope Arsenal beat them.

City v Utd
Not arsed, although can only see a City win, but in a derby you never know.

Monday

Spuds v The Mighty Blues
Spurs are very Jeckyl & Hyde, what Spurs will turn up? By the same token which Everton will turn up? If we could nick a win here it would be massive and see us leapfrog Leeds, Brentford and Newcastle in to 14th if those games go our way. If we can play like we did against City I think we can get something here, I just hope no 2 man midfield and we go 4-3-3 which we have been crying out for for so long.

We will still have plenty of games in hand on most teams but that means nothing if we are not picking up wins or draws, this is definitely winnable...

Maybe just chill out and see what happens

Agree.
When Frank said our season would not be defined by the outcome of the Spurs game, it was more or less an admission that were coming home pointless on Monday.
With that in mind, I'll keep a casual eye on results that affect us and get revved up for our next home game where it is generally accepted is where we can stage our dash to safety.

Anyone who expected a great atmosphere against a conference team can’t have much experience of going to games. In games like that people are just turning up expecting to be entertained by a comfortable win, it’s the same at all clubs. It’s absolutely pointless comparing it to a game like the Leeds one which was a must win game where the fans felt that the players needed their help. We have got some of the worst fans in the world, it’s the ones who moan about the atmosphere constantly but evidently don’t do anything to change it.

I'm not rising to the bait on "experience" pal.

Leeds have been 4-0, 3-0, 5-0 etc etc down in their games. Palace, its every week I could go on but can't be arsed!

We need to vocalise our support whether it's Boreham Wood, Man Utd, Kopites or Accrington Stanley, that's my point. Lift Goodison, lift the players and team, doesn't always work but it defi helps.
