Not sure what people are not getting. If Burnley don't pick another point up, we are safe. All this rubbish about Brentford being dragged back is meaningless. If Burnley
Lose sat and they have city next, then we have at least 3 games to put daylight between us and relegation

Yep, the sooner that three teams get cut adrift the better.

Need Burnley to start to fall behind and then the games start to run out for them.

A draw puts us in the relegation zone, but we’ll have 4 and 3 games in hand I. Each of them… 3 points for Brentford, puts them 8 points above us before we kick a ball.

Agree with this. Want everyone around us either losing or if playing each other drawing.

I get the point of wanting a Brentford win, to keep us out the relegation zone… but how can you guarantee Burnley won’t go on a run like Newcastle?

We have to do our bit but we don’t want teams escaping either.

But Burnley will pick another point up, so it isn’t that simple. The only thing that matters is that we finish above 3 teams, which 3 and how is irrelevant.

Thats some straw clutching there. Not picking up another point the rest of the season. Isnt gona happen.
Id rather have two def teams around us in danger than one.

It’s mid March and we still have 3 unscheduled fixtures. We still haven’t played Leicester once yet.

Palace league game going to be re-arranged because of either one of us being in semi final.

Presuming we have to finish fixtures on the 22nd May when it's final day, we possibly are going to have proper pile ups.

Im surprised they didn’t try to put our game against Burnley tonight to be honest.

There is no bigger picture, your making it bigger. They have city, Norwich and WH next 3. They are not getting points in 2 of them. Also win against a relegation rival could give them momentum

I think you’re very clearly underestimating that we’re not a very good side and deserve to be in a relegation scrap.

If we win on Sunday following a Brentford-Burnley draw, we’ve gained 2 points on both and aren’t in the relegation zone.

You’ve just mentioned momentum, but would Brentford beating Burnley not give Brentford that? 2 wins on the run?

Brentford can have as much momentum as they wish, they are not in the bottom 3, they are irrelevant.
As for your point, its because we are horrendously bad that I don't want 3rd bottom side picking any point up
