Relegation

We had a honeymoon period at the start of the season with a manager that few really wanted.
But the same dross of players remained from last season
It was only going to be a matter of time before the underlying weakness of our squad resurfaced
It was inevitable. I knew that a couple of months ago. That's why I had to rebalanced my emotions with the fear of relegation so I had a bet on us to go down at 125/1. Don't vault me for betting against us. You just can't ignore a gift horse when you see one.
Of course I don't want us to go down.
I'm going to cashout the bet soon.
But I still fear the worse unless current players show some courage.
My point is it was obvious even to an idiot like me that our squad wasn't good enough whoever the manager was. The irony is that if we were looking to recruit a manager to keep us up then the FSW would be on the list
I await the middle finger with expectation
Ps if you want a tip then rock bottom at 100/1 looks interesting.....

Why would the “FSW” be high on the list to keep us, or any team for that matter, up?

As I recall the Barcodes fetched him in to keep them up a few years back but they still went down.

I think this could be the season it happens as Benitez is pinning all hopes on DCL, he will not be up to speed until he has been back 4 to 6 weeks so if their talking boxing day for a return probably mid fed before we start seeing the player we know, by that time the team will be more shot of confidence than they are now

As bad as we are there is no way we are going to be relegated. Never going to happen. We clearly showed we can compete in this league when all players are fighting fit. The DCL injury has hit us hard and was integral to how we set up. Yes granted we should have more in the locker but our squad is threadbare and hopefully that will be addressed in some small part in Jan or the Summer.

There’s no reason to have that confidence at all. We’ve played 16 games so far and have barely played well for 90 minutes combined across those games. We can’t score goals and we concede them by the bucketload. If we’re going to stay up we need to see a massive improvement quickly because right now I only see this ending one way.

Been here before with Everton in 94 & 98 and both of those time we were worse than we are now with worse players. Yes we are in a fight but we will NOT be relegated.
