“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” We are gone and we deserve it simple as!
70/30 in our favour right now.

But the sheer number of games between the teams at the bottom is also of importance. Win those and teams can extricate themselves from threat really easily.

Which is why I can't accept it cos we've not been there.

City fans didn't know any better as they've always been up and down the league's, last time they won something was in the 60s. They've decades of decline before coming back, you end up accepting this is what you are over years. If they went down next season, they wouldn't be bothered as it was good while it lasted.

I knew plenty of Leeds fans when they went bust and tumbled to league 2 were absolutely devastated. Was only until years of being in the doldrums (over a decade) did they "accept" where they were after defending how massive they were.

The idea of accepting going to the championship is fine....enjoying going to the championship to play Luton Town under the lights to "win some games" doesn't register with me.

Will leave it here, as we are so far apart on what we see as support.

Have a good day mate.

The last 6 games I can remember we've had a young lad working his ass off and these pointless senior players have been dog s. Norwich would out play us and you know it's true

Personally I think the boys will hit a bit of form, win 2 or 3 on the bounce and Norwich on the last day won’t be an issue.

It’s all down to confidence, the young fear nothing, the senior pros do more than you’d think. Players don’t play badly on purpose (well nearly always anyway!)

We will go on a run of wins and finish well clear of the relegation zone. So it will be.
I think the ability to focus simply on our form or fixtures has passed. Yes there is likely a target number to safety and a good run could make the difference. But this is between 3 teams, and a string of wins looks far more likely with Leeds than us. The odds for going down Leeds 36%, Us 38%, Burnley 45%. One of us three are going down, and the two others have at least experience in this position if not better managers for the circumstance.

Two months ago we could worry just on our form, now we have to check their results regardless of our matches results, which in their own right have been championship level.

Have you looked at our team? Well I hope your miss placed optimism bears fruit

We don't look capable of winning any games at the moment, we can only hope some of the teams have an off day, but we don't look like we could get anything from these games. A few weeks ago the Brentford game looked a certain 3 points but you can bet they are looking forward to this game more than we are.Watford and Burnley must be looking forward to our visit because they know we are just cannon fodder on the road, as for the rest of the fixtures, don't see us getting anything from them. Let's hope Newcastle have nothing left in the tank with all the travelling they have done recently.

We definitely do things differently. We are playing she ite at the min but I still believe we're staying up. BTW what the hell happened to our new manager bounce?

As painful and heartbreaking as relegation would/will be I can't help but have the feeling that its the only way to even begin fixing the club. Nothing can change for the better at Everton while the hierarchy that has brought us to this remains the same. If we stay up this season then the revisionists will repackaged the season as a "great escape" and a moment to be proud of that we "overcame" such adversity. They'll move on and pretend this season didn't happen. Only if we go down will they be forced to face up to their failures and deal with the reality of it.

Kenwright and the board simply can not be allowed to continue their association with the club anymore. They are the route cause of this disaster, they set the tone for this and laid the groundwork for it decades ago. They have poisoned a massive chunk of our fanbase into happily accepting mediocrity and worse repacked in various forms for far to long. It was always going to take an unparalleled disaster to finally wake up the vast majority of loyalists (even now there's still some defending the board) who have blindly defended them for so long, this is that unparalleled disaster.

So drained having mates/colleagues say "don't be daft, you won't go down". Do you watch us every week? Do you know our fixtures? No? Pack it in then.

I came home from the match drained yesterday. Genuinely affecting my mental health and people simply saying "it'll be fine" is making it worse. I'm so upset, angry and disappointed it's come to this. I fully believe it's happening and yet even when I'm sat at the match, it's like those around me don't see it?

I had a fella kick off with me yesterday asking "What more do you want?" Have we all given up?? I'm honestly done with the "get behind them and just clap like a seal" I want some fans to Nyarko them now. Rip the shirts off them and tell them what's what. I'm sick of protecting them and worrying about them. They don't care about us or the club.
