So drained having mates/colleagues say "don't be daft, you won't go down". Do you watch us every week? Do you know our fixtures? No? Pack it in then.

I came home from the match drained yesterday. Genuinely affecting my mental health and people simply saying "it'll be fine" is making it worse. I'm so upset, angry and disappointed it's come to this. I fully believe it's happening and yet even when I'm sat at the match, it's like those around me don't see it?

I had a fella kick off with me yesterday asking "What more do you want?" Have we all given up?? I'm honestly done with the "get behind them and just clap like a seal" I want some fans to Nyarko them now. Rip the shirts off them and tell them what's what. I'm sick of protecting them and worrying about them. They don't care about us or the club.

I have exactly the same, all my mates telling me “nah you’ll be absolutely fine, your squad is too good and you’ve got games in hand”. Makes my head fall clean off, they actually think I’m exaggerating when I tell them how bad our players are. I respond with unless you watch us every week, stfu.

Most of the teams at the bottom have played 2 games since I last did this, looking at this Everton have a great chance except the reality is we just cant beat anyone...

Newcastle on 31 points I think are out of it now and realistically only need a win or two to confirm safety with Everton, Palace, Norwich and Burnley to play. They still have some tough ones such as Spurs, Wolves, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal.

Brentford with 30 points are close to being clear, they have 9 games left with only 4 against bottom half teams which are Leicester, Watford, Everton and Leeds so depending on results could be touch and go.

Leeds United were in free fall but the new manager brought a win in their last game and you wonder how they will go now, 9 games left for Leeds with only 3 against teams in the bottom half of the table in Watford, Brighton and Brentford. Being 4 points above Everton they have a nice gap and points on the board.

Everton Officially our worst ever season and I am concerned Lampard is unable to stop this hemorrhaging of points, Newcastle in midweek is a must win at all costs but even after that we do have 5 games left against teams in the bottom half and that is where we need to be picking up points, anything else is a bonus. My concern is home games left is Newcastle, Man Utd, Palace, Chelsea, Brentford and Leicester, a lot depends on the Newcastle game but cant see many more points in that. Which is concerning because we simply can not get anything from away games and I can` see us getting another away point this season, yes we are that bad. We probably need 12 to 15 points to stay up which I don`t believe we can achieve unless there is a miraculous change in fortunes.

The crowd and the way the players slumped to the floor against Wolves shows we are probably already beaten and down.... The teams we are realistically fighting against is Leeds, Burnley and Watford. We need to get more points than at least 2 of them!

Burnley in much better form than us, in fact since Lampard took over only Watford have less points than Everton, Burnley still have 11 games left this season and 6 of their games are against teams in the bottom half, Burnleys away games are Villa, Norwich, West Ham, Watford and Spurs. Would you back against them to not take anything from them?

Watford much like ourselves will need to rely on home form, at home they all bottom half teams in Everton, Leeds, Brentford, Burnley and Leicester. Away from home Watford are less likely to pick up points with their away games being Liverpool, Man City, Palace and Chelsea.

Norwich are widely tipped as "already down" but sit just 5 points behind us but the only team in as bad form as Everton, 9 games left for them, none against the top 4 but 5 away from home, I cant see them getting out of it but you never know.

Mate you are an absolute Joy. ?

It doesn’t matter how you look at it, anything can happen between now and the end of the season. We need to win games and we have more opportunities to do so than any other team in and around us. There are enough winnable games regardless of our form this season.

Of course there is winnable games, do you trust this team to beat anyone?

9 points from the last 60 gives you confidence we are going to get 12 or 15 from the next 36? Like I say the Newcastle game is absolutely huge.

Love the optimism but it is based on nothing more than you burying your head in the sand and pretend it isn`t happening....

A nice breakdown. Personally from the odds and expected points I think Brentford Newcastle are clear and can realistically be ruled out. Per fivethirtyeight their odds are 2% and 4% respectively. Watford and Norwich by weigh of schedule project a 76% and 99% chance of going down. I think thats fair to assume as they will be in the championship.

That leaves us Leeds and Burnley vying for the third spot IMO. But your caveats on Burnleys schedule and form compared to us is noteworthy. and Leeds have looked improved in Marsch's games, along with a cushion of 4 points and the returning of some of their spine.

Personally that all points to us as most likely to join Watford and Norwich. Its close across the three, I just fail to see the caveats or signs to chose us over those two.

That's right, that's right, just let it out. The cry will do you good.

An impartial observer would never guess that we have 12 matches left to play.
