We're out of our depth - or division - like most relegated sides are. Sorry, but losing 4-0 at Crystal Palace is as low as we have ever been in my 42 years supporting this club. And that on the back of a 5-0 at Spurs in our last away outing.

This dying animal needs putting out of its misery. We're not good enough for the top flight anymore. Financial calamity aside, the club needs a rebirth. I fear the labour will be long, however, before we can finally emerge into the top flight as any kind of a force again.

I think we just need closing down. There is a sickness that seems im possible to purge.

First it’s Watford, then it’s Burnley. It was Leeds the other week. Now it’s Brentford. We are not definitively better than any of these sides and our fixture run in is much tougher.

We'll have 3 games in hand and be five points behind....and take a look at thir remaining fixtures. They'll get hardly anything from them.

Leeds might get clear, but Brentford are getting sucked right in.

As I say: forget that cup defeat - THIS Leicester v Brentford game is the most important game of the weekend for us.

That is a side we can rebuild from in the Championship, young and hungry players - get rid of all the cart horses (except doucoure for now) and start the project. Problem is I have absolutely no faith that the club would be able to sustain itself if we did drop

Because of early wins back in August and September. And we’re only above two of the sides I mentioned. The form table prior to a massively lucky win on Thursday and how we actually played in that game and most games apart from Man City is all the evidence I need to know that we’re in trouble.

I still believe if we avoid defeat away to Watford and Burnley we’ll most likely be fine. But the only home game I would truly fancy us in the one against Leicester.
