More concerned now than ever.

You can write off all the away games.

Goodison will literally have to drag this shower of pathetic “professionals” to safety.
With the run-in we have, we are going to have to win at least one away game, which fills me with dread.

It's a pity that Frank is being so stubborn with the 5 at the back and the 2 in midfield, as it does not work.

Of course, persisting with Keane and Holgate every match is also F stupid, but anyway...

Oh, and he can at least teach these C's to defend corners and set pieces...

We'll effectively relegate them if we beat them at home and pick up another couple of wins.

Their run in gets worse and worse.

I've been baging on about Brentford for days and maybe some more people will begin to see why: 3 games in hand over them and they have a 5 point lead with hardly any games I see them picking up maximum points in.

What happens if they just get 4 points off Leeds and Southampton at home and get a draw off Watford? That gets them to 35 points and their GD is slightly better aswell. They've just beaten Norwich and Burnley back to back so think they've got enough about them to beat a couple of on the beach teams in run in as Southampton are now given they've just lost at home to Newcastle and Watford.

Good at least if they take points off Leeds (I feel they have enough momentum to get over the line now with their two late winners) and Watford (much more pressing that).

Hand on heart I'd be amazed if this team is safe going into the final day. Even being 3 clear of Burnley say will be no guarentee given it's away to Arsenal. Lose there by a couple of goals as they could well still need a win to get top 4 and all it would take would be Burnley beating Newcastle at home if the GD stays largely the same.

Someone said above this team is useless going a goal down away and I completely agree. Ran around like men possessed at 0-0 today but offered nothing once the first went in so that dosen't bode well for the remaining away games. Desperately need to score first at likes of Burnley and Watford.

Also a bit worrying people assume Palace at home is a certain 3 points after today and generally their record at Goodison in last decade is pretty good on the whole. Don't think just beating Brentford at home in the run in will be anywhere near enough unless the team properly grows some balls on the road.

Despite the instant euphoria of the Iwobi goal I think there's still a bit of pain ahead in next few weeks. Think Watford got Leeds at home coming up so they could win that and it would be proper panic stations going into playing them.

I know, it is genuinely terrifying. I can only see them wilting at Burnley & Watford.

Goodison has always been our get out of jail card though. We know the crowd will get us out of it. They even got the fans to do the teamtalk the other night.

12 pts in the past 19 matches. 0.6pts a mtach. 11 matches left x 0.6 = 7pts rounded up. So that's 32.

Yeah feels about right.

I think that will mean 18th tbh.

I wouldn't even be confident on 35 points with the GD as it is.

In a way stuff like Allan getting that straight red hints at relegation to me. Let's say he's on a yellow and he does that cyncial challenge, VAR wouldn't have upgraded to a red and he'd have just missed today and been back for the prem games in April. Instead he's out for West Ham and I think Watford?

No idea what formation Lampard can put out in midfield that can nulify Soucek and Rice. O.k people saying they'll be concentrating on europa but they beat Villa at home in between the two Sevilla games reasonably comfortably.

Hope I'm talking nonsense for all of the above anyway but seeing little to disprove it.

I can’t see us getting 5 points in our next three games. So it’s highly likely we’ll be a few points behind Leeds and Brentford at the 30 game mark.

Brentford’s run in is tough but they might only need 4 points from the 8 games to be safe, maybe even less. We could be looking at needing 6 or 7.
I dont see 34 points being enough to avoid bottom 3, tbh. I've revised up myself to about 36/37 points. So they need 6 or 7 and it looks a tall order given who they play. Their games aginst Watford away, S'ton and Leeds look crucial.

As for the next 3 games: we can forget West Ham. That's not going to end well. But Burnley away and United at home there is something there for us. Maybe not 6 points, but if we get 4 then we can defo look to get another 7 or so from Leicester, Palace and Brentford at home and probably Watford away.

In short: average a point per game and we'll be ok. And a point per game is already established under Lampard.

And let's hope you don't drop back to writing them off again.
The players deserve all the praise in the world when they win, and sadly on day's like today, they deserve all the criticism in the world. Unfortunately days like today, have been very frequent this season

Of course you'll argue otherwise until the cows come home, but i do feel i operate a very fair and consistent system, when it comes to both praise and criticism.

* That said, they have gone off the boil in recent weeks and we play them 4 days before they play in the EL QF 1st leg against Lyon.

If I was Moyes I'd be looking to rest up players there...and if I were a WHU player I'd be looking to avoid a battle.
