Really? I remember him dropping Drenthe in the Semi final against Liverpool because He broke training rules? We would have been much stronger with him. Moyes was exactly the my way or the highway manager. Nothing wrong with it if it works best for the club.
Mate anyone who puts up with an absolute ass-clown like Royston Drenthe for 20+ games is not a rigid disciplinarian. Wouldn't get past the door with a lot of managers. He did drop him for that fateful game, but he had no choice - unless you think a player showing their arse to you and then telling you to FO is something you'd just let ride.


Moyes is reasonable - he's not going to pander to the players like a Martinez, he'll demand a measure of respect for his way of doing things. But he's not going to engineer a confrontation with the best player to try and assert authority, either.
He arguably should have done this day one at Utd with Rio and the Dad's Army they had playing there, but he didn't really have the powerbase for that and prob not in his nature.
