If they were taking it seriously they’d have sacked the useless manager who got us into this position.
Agreed, but its a slight change from Moshiri's text to Jim White that asserted the whole thing was down to injuries and a general feeling that this is a temporary blip in form

It might be an acknowledgement that this manager cant be trusted to get things right on his own.

Baby steps to get this man out, as its clear Moshiri needs to be weaned off the crack pipe of this man.

I think they always intended to spend money when the restrictions were loosened.
There is no way Benitez took the job with all the personal abuse without assurances that he would have money to spend.
The transfers being reported do not inspire confidence the young Ukrainian aside I would not go near Coutinho or Barkley or Martial
Not sure, if we were top 7 now (as we should be) then I doubt we would be spending at this level, in this window.

Possibly because Brands would still be in situ but still...

….I think 5 more wins could see us over the line but I fear we’ll be right in the mix. Beyond Norwich, teams are much of a muchness. I think Newcastle will definitely escape, so two other teams will fall into that drop zone.
I don't agree about Newcastle surviving but if they do we are definitely in the mix as Burnley will get enough points.
I can see Watford sacking Ranieri if they lose today , how we managed to concede 5 against them God only knows.

….impressed with Newcastle against United & these postponements are coming at the right time for them. I’d be more certain they are staying up than Burnley.

i think Burnley only just avoided the drop last season & have a large number of 30+ players who are out of contract this summer. They are well organised & difficult to beat but they draw lots of games. They might survive but I give Newcastle a better chance. We need to beat or not lose to these teams when we meet.

They were on the new manager syndrome, notice Norwich have calmed down and getting beat again..

Tomorrow is a must win against Brighton. A loss tomorrow and we really are in a fight. A win potentially puts us up to 12th with 2 games in hand on a few teams.

We won't go down, there are at least five to six worse than us, but we need to pull our socks up..
One of those five to six thrashed us 5-2 at Goodison. The side just above us (Brentford) beat us comfortably. There aren’t currently 6 worse sides, the league table tells you that.

We really don’t have a top seven squad though.

Our first eleven when fit is good, but below that the quality quickly drops off. Add to that the calamitous injury list and you get what you get.

The team finished tenth under Ancelott and has had a negative net spend since then with glaring holes left unresolved. Profit and Sustainability issues have come well into play.

We barely barely won a game from January onwards. Why would we suddenly leap up the table?

I don’t think the board agree and are worried about the league position

What makes you think Newcastle will definitely escape but fear for us? They've only won one game all season and that was against Burnley who have also won only one game.

We've got 5 wins and recently beat an in form, top 4 side in Arsenal and took away a point against Chelsea with our kids.

This isn't aimed at you now, but the relegation hysteria season after season gets a bit boring from our online fanbase.

We won't go down and those in the bottom 3 will only survive at the expense of Watford, or less likely Leeds, and I personally see all 3 in the relegation zone going down anyway.
