We're now top of the relegation mini league. I thought Leeds and Brentford might get sucked into it but not a chance now. Its very much in our hands but the way we've been playing doesn't fill me with confidence at all. A point today would feel like a win. In reality we'll probably lose by 2 or three goals and that would put us on worse GD than Burnley. Just have to hope for a miracle and we turn up for once.

Wednesday night will tell the tale. Whatever happens today - and I think it'll be a dark day - if we can win on Wednesday we will go a long way to saving ourselves and demoralising our direct rivals. Not only would it boost us massively, it would confirm the doubts in the heads of Burnely and also Watford that they are not good enough to overhaul us.

People say they'd take a draw on Wednesday. I understand that sentiment. But I think we can win there and hammer the stake into Burnely's hearts in the process. It's as "winnable" a game as we will play all season. I'm not prepared to settle for a point when we face Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and United yet. At some point, our cowardly lions have to earn the right to stay in this division. Wednesday is the big one and today will show us if they've even got a notion of what's required attitude-wise for the rest of the season.

A point today and a point on Wednesday will be acceptable to me.

It puts more distance between us and the bottom three and we go another round of games closer to the end of the season in a stronger position.

I think with Goodison up for it we can turn United over next week.
I'd love it if Everton was a nasty pit on Saturday. This United team can definitely be got at, Maguire especially at this time.

Burnleys next two games are us and Norwich. They will fancy their chances of 4-6 points out of those 2.

We could do with a result today.

We'll take Utd up the bottom.

They won't be up for a bearpit Goodison in their current guise imo.

I'd absolutely bite your hand of for zero points and only -2 on goals.

Really?! Burnley winning would give them fresh impetus and they have Norwich away next weekend.

Back to back wins out of nowhere gets them to 27 points so I'd rather not go there.

Don't want to be too dramatic but losing today and Wednesday and I think relegation would become pretty likely tbh.

People seem to be just assuming because of the Newcastle win all the home games are now suddenly very winnable. Palace in recent times have a really good record at Goodison, Leicester played well yesterday with many of their regulars fit again and seems many are assuming Brentford is a gimmee three points right a the end. Perhaps if they're in proper beach mode but look at the difference Eriksen has made to their form.

Will keep on saying it but team need to win four games BEFORE the final game for nothing to be riding on Arsenal away and I just don't see it with general form and the run in. Hope I'm wrong as ever.

Rather Leeds got something. Watford on 25 points with Sarr fit and some winnable home games left....could yet get to 35 points.
Ourselves should be aiming to a minimum of 35 points...and a better goal difference. Ideally 36 points...3 wins and 2 draws...should be possible out of 11 fixtures
