The Pain of the Benitez years over the first half of the season was intolerable. Its one thing to see an Everton manager failing misserably - you can still get behind them but watching Benitez dismantle the club infrastructure and sell our best players to support his massive ego was like a slow daily torture. Franks shortlived honeymoon didn't lift the gloom and now the spectre of relegation on all our collective shoulders is making each and every day/game seem to last an eternity. Is this what life would be like in the championship next year? constantly hoping to climb the table back into the prem and constantly being frustrated by the Rotherham's of the world.

Not a benitez fan at all but is far too easy to blame him for this mess the club is in. No matter what happens this season i hope this is the start of this set of players leaving the squad and bringing in a new set with a better culture and attitude into the team

Do you think supporters of teams bar the top 4-5 would be bothered about relegation if it didn’t have so many financial implications?

Most clubs in the Prem including us just make up the numbers every year.

Tonight is our relegation battle. 3 points is a must. I'm concerned that the players don't care enough or put their body on the lines and some are already eyeing up a move in the summer.
