Still in the Republic, Republic contains some northern counties too, people don't refer as donegal in the North of Ireland as can be easily confused this to mean is in Northern Ireland state.

Donegal is the most Northerly part of Ireland. Killbegs is in the North West part of Donegal.

I didn't mention anything about the Republic, just the location of Donegal.

I think you’ll find that a majority of actual Scots voted for independence. The vote was swung by non-Scot’s living here

Ha I know a fair few Scots and to a person they were all pro union, no offence but you're a strange bunch that want to governed by and serve others and then belt out that song before the match tonight while booing your real national anthem.

No not all (although the Dutch weren't any great shakes last night), its the results against Greece and Luxembourg and so on that will spell the end for Kenny. He's been tactically poor in these games.

He's been a bit unlucky losing key players almost every time he goes to pick a team but other managers are able adapt and get on with it, so should Kenny. He's using moral victories and possession stats to paper over the cracks.

No, we shouldn't be beating Tier 1 teams evey other game but we ahould be putting poorer teams to the sword and at least holding our own with sides of a similar ranking - that'd be the general consensus among Ireland supporters I'd guess.

I suppose none of our group results are unexpected but we played really well against France in Dublin then were hopeless away to Greece. Seems to be a lot of 1 step forward then 2 or 3 steps backwards.

Not sure where the golden generation thing came from tbh, nobody in Ireland is claiming that.

I was in Athens and that game turned me on Kenny, he set us up poorly and was not able to change it from the sidelines and tbh Greece could have and probably should have won by more than a goal margin.

Btw I don't believe that this current crop are anything close to a golden generation.

Royal Family day in Holland is quite the show, they allow boozing on the streets and it's a full days party. When I remember more, I'll let on.
Do be over and back to Amsterdam a bit mate with pals over there mate.

Supposed to be epic. Met a few heads who’ve said the homecoming after Euro 88 was the party to end all parties! ;)
