Honest feelings here.
Benitez was the last person I wanted here, however when he beyond belief got the job I got behind him and hoped upon hope he'd make it here.
I supported him 100% with a clean slate given. The "little club" comments that riled so many honestly never bothered me, in fact I'd love a manager of ours to sometimes be as cutting towards opponents.
New manager bounce( as it now turns out to be) had me really confident, then the losses started, not just losses but losses that were unacceptable and so avoidable.
The team was flat, the atmosphere turned toxic and Benitez started to put out sides that defied belief, as did the tactics, totally unfathomable behaviour was displayed by the bloke. It became clear he'd have not turned this around if he stayed for 10 years.
We were playing against poor sides as if they they were Manchester city's, it turned hopeless and surely somebody at the club could see it needed nipping in the bud way before Christmas.
I personally would have held serious talks with Moyes in November if I'm totally honest, the internet may not of liked it but I think the fans would.
Would we be in 18th now if that had happened? I can't say, but my hunch is no. We'd merely be picking on Moyes now because he had us in a boring 10th place with nothing to play forlol
