Who Schneiderlin or Gylfi?

Id prefer someone else as a number 8, just can't get back aboard the Scheiderlin train after last season, he might be improving his performances and that, but his coward performances last season just killed me off.

Does seem Richarlison likes weird numbers tho, he wore 70 for Flumeniese, each to their own and all that!

Schneiderlin favours no.8. Siggy will take no.10 surely.

You know when Everton are doing something right because the media starts to have a go at us. When we were an ‘embarrassment’ for finishing 4th, when Fellaini was castigated by Ferguson as anti football after he bullied them in that game, when we were apparently cheating by loaning players who we would never buy (we then bought them all), and now we’re apparently ruining the transfer market by overpaying for an ‘average’ player. Well we’ll see but when you take the agenda out all I see is Everton once again reaffirming to the likes of Watford where us and they stand in the pecking order, showing the rest of the league that even after the debacle last summer we still have money and are not going to go away, and a 20 year old Brazilian forward who can play across the front line and could be a star now in the royal blue rather than Bolasie or DCL on the wing.

Deulofeu is better though lol

He possibly is. I can see the Watford point of view on both players, albeit they're obviously biased on it.

Reality of all this is that we know next to nothing of Richarlison - we're hoping his form lately was due to burnout/manager upheaval, or we've bought a dud.

Deulofeu at least has his mercurial moments. I'm not saying he is better obviously but it remains a possibility - fingers crossed he's not.

I'd like to see Geri succeed (obviously not at Watford but eventually). He's played for 3 far superior teams over the last 4 years and failed. Maybe he needs to to be the big fish in a small pound in which case Watford may work out for him.

This should be on the walls of every EFC employee.

One of them caused us a nightmare all day when they came to Goodison last season... the other produced absolutely nothing in the reverse fixture later on in the season.

I loved Geri at times for us, but if Richarlison can even just match Geri’s productivity - which shouldn’t be that hard - he’ll be a better player by way of his workrate and ability to play a whole football match.

Are you sure he isn’t?? I’m not.

Sparrow lungs would have died from this;

"Richarlison's 21st birthday this May concluded a gruelling year in which he played 59 first-team matches, starting 52, with those 20 days, in which he not only moved continents but also snuck in a friendly appearance, the closest he came to a break"

"Before this summer he made competitive apps in 26 straight months - his last one off was March 2016!"
