2018/19 Richarlison

He’s nowhere near fast enough to be an out and out winger either.

I reckon he can get going when he wants to, but without the intelligence, quick feet and trickery, pace alone isn’t worth much to a winger. A winger with just pace is essentially your average Adama Traore level player.

Hes not very good as a winger, im sure he could play in a 433 tho for sure.

And for me hes really bad as a lone Striker.

Defo needs to play up top in a 2, but im hopeful that next season we will finally be able to put that 4231 to bed then the likes of Rico, Bernie and Lookman can shine a bit more.

Hes a young lad playing in his 2nd Season of the League, we are a club thats not gonna do naff all this Season so honestly I can understand his sulking round the pitch, lets be honest we are all sulking mostly at the ground or behind our laptops.

He's reckless but also scores. I can see that he's not playing well and not taking care of the ball. But seriously, half the time he gets it in pure isolation.

But not brave? Diving has nothing to do with being brave.

one livener from a defender and he hides

That’s depressing

Yes he has been poor the last couple months and hasn't looked half the player he was in his first few months here but only Mbappe and Jovic (two freaks) above him there for goals scored this season

Really interesting stats there and like others have mentioned if we were doing better or if he was playing in a worse league then they should be far higher.

With better players around him and time he will improve.

Richarlison's performance at Cardiff was pitiful. His passing, both in accuracy and in weighting, was a disgrace. And he didn't take the ball past a member of the opposition once.
If he was someone who'd just progressed through the youth team into the first XI and played as badly it would likely mean we'd not be seeing him again for the rest of the season.
Of course if his poor performance on Tuesday night had been a one-off then it could be ignored. But the truth is he's done little since November.
I’ve said the same thing and just got stuck the whole time

I agree but this just means he’s a ordinary squad player that plays to the level of the squad around him and not a game changer that can take a game by the balls and elevate those around him.

If that’s the case his £45m price tag a steal for Watford. We need more from him if he’s the one that is supposed to shoulder the team

Current Brazil international. 21 years old. Decent goal scoring return this year.
And yet... obvious deficiencies that we can all see. As a striker he’s no Lukaku. As a winger he’s not exactly kanchelskis.....
Yet.
So the question is, is this summer the time to cash in on a player with a limited skill set, who may never command such a fee again, or are we witnessing the development of a player who will go on to be world class and get better over the next few years and be the spearhead of a potent Everton attack?
