No one is chasing him out the club. He gets his name sang louder and harder than any other player, by a long way. We can all see how good he can be but for some reason, pointing out how bad his passing is, how bad he is at beating a man (which has improved) and how much he hands back possession or promising position by dropping to the floor every time some one comes near him, is seen as a crime. It is OK to see good and bad in a player you know, you don;t have to just say he is amazing.

Cracking player by the way, his return for an inside forward is exceptional and i think so many forget how young he actually is.

Its about how and when to do it though.

He never gets a free kick and he sometimes goes down when its better for him to stay up. He play acts more than dives but his acting is rubbish.

We do tend to focus on the negatives instead of the positives. Lukaku cant control a ball, Gueye cant pass a ball (!), Digne cant defend etc etc.

Every player has weaknesses, the key is to negate them by playing to their strengths and covering them with other players.
 

Very overrated for me since he’s been here.I thought he was excellent for Watford but just too inconsistent for me this season.
I don’t think our system actually suits him. He’s not a CF and never will be, scores much more on the wing but he’s not a winger either.
I would like to see him in an actual decent Everton team and the shambles we’ve had since he’s been here.
It doesn’t help swapping him from left to right to Centre every few weeks.
Play him in one position and let him actually settle.
Imagine if Klopp told Salah he was playing on a different wing every week, he wouldn’t be anywhere near as consistent.

Don't think Barkley is in the same league as Lukaku to be honest.

He fell away after the first half of his season at Watford,suppose he's one of those "if he was consistent he'd be at Real Madrid not here" players

I thought that was a ridiculous thing to do. Notice how people like Klopp do the complete opposite? All that Silva calling him out will do is reiterate to referees and other fans that he's a diver and we'll potentially be getting fewer 50/50 calls as a result (Andy Johnson syndrome).

In fact I can't think of a single successful top flight manager that has ever come out and criticised his own player for diving.
