Never really understood the hatred some fans had for Lukaku but can totally understand the frustrations with Richarlison. He spends so much time on his arse moaning after the slightest touch, it's frustrating because he's a powerful forward who should be relishing the challenges against defenders. He's done it so much that I think referees are now reluctant to give him anything as it's difficult to know if he has actually been clipped.
Good goal last night though and hopefully he can build on this. Need to see more of that.

His diving is an issue, but on his day he’s our best player. Got a bit depressed during the poor run as richy wanted to go in the summer in search of CL, we must match his ambition. Gripes, he starts for Brazil!!!!
Richarlison is our most important player by some distance. As well as Iwobi has been doing the last few games, before that our only outlet was Richarlison, he dictates the press, wins the ball back more than almost forwards in Europe and wins loads of fouls to ease the pressure on the defence.
I love that he’s a snide, we’ve been calling out for players like that for years. The issue IMO is that the media are on at him now, even though there are plenty of other players in the league that do the same thing (Kane, Salah, Mane, Zaha being a few examples).
Our fans are listening to the media too much and using it as a way to explain why Richarlison hasn’t scored for a few games.
What it comes down to is that our team is much stronger with him in it, that should be the defining decision on whether he’s a good player for us or not.

I think that goal will really settle him down. He's looked a bit edgy without it. And it was a very good goal. Yes a small mistake from Schmeichel but I thought he took it really well.
He has 2 goals and 3 assists so far. A goal or assist every 165 minutes. So it's not been awful by any stretch. Hopefully he goes through a bit of a purple patch now.

He's critical for us as things stand. Our record with him is played 10, won 7, drawn 2 lost 1. Had he played every game, at the rate we are at with him, we would be top of the league by 2 points now.
