Another weekend of removing utter bulbs from my social media. 2 down and everyone is sh1te...seen alot “i dont care what anyone says, but *insert any player* is rubbish” types....
Good player out of form, thats all this is, call down super bloos!

Exactly my feelings.

Scrolling through twitter at half time, my god every player was terrible and even Doucoure was getting stick- blocked and move on.

He almost looks too eager at times to get himself out of this bad run of form, which is leading to bad decision making. He’s trying to force dribbles when they’re not on etc. A lot of his goals for us have come from him making runs into the box and getting into good positions, rather than him going past 2-3 players and scoring.

He carries on making the runs into the box and trusting the likes of Digne and James to pick him out, and he’ll start slotting again and relax a bit IMO.

I think the big thing for him this season is his position changed as the team changed to a more defensive formation.

First five games of this season was playing as an left inside forward in a 433. A position he knows and let’s him make runs inside the fullback, getting in the box and goal scoring chances.

As we’ve changed to 4411 he’s ended up playing more of a left sided midfielder in a defensive set up. The difference between where he was playing last season and his recent role is huge.

Essentially he’s having to sacrifice what he wants to be doing/where he wants to be playing for the team. He doesn’t get in the box as much in this position, doesn’t get as many chances and he’ll know that means he isn’t going be getting the goals he has done previously. Think he’s frustrated and it’s affecting his game.

It’s been needs must for the majority of the season but can’t keep playing a wing/forward at left midfield and expect him to be happy about it.

If we’re going to play 4411 next season then need to upgrade both left and right midfield, move Richie back to the forward line. He’ll get his mojo back.

Might ground him and make him want to see out this project when he sees Dom smashing them in and not talking about a move. He'd want to be the best at Everton before wanting a move surely.

Barring a massive upturn in form which sees him bagging 10+ goals in the next half of the season alone, I think he’s played himself out of a move this summer.

We invested a lot of money in him, and at the minute I don’t think he’d fetch anywhere near what we’d be wanting to sell him for.

I have never been a coach of manager, but I have wondered what he would be like behind a target man. With his pace and strength, he'd occupy at least two players (i heard someone call this gravity once, i did laugh).

If you read other fans comments on him after games they all think he was challenging to play against and a constant threat. Not playing to the level we have come to expect but on reflection I think it's worth persevering with him as with a couple of goals under him he'll be back to his best (unless King really steps up)

I’m still waiting for him to be consistently good, hasn’t done it in the three years he’s been here, hasn’t even started this season, been less than average most of it, be nice if he started tonight and the Spurs game at the start of the season was one of his good games, even if he did cock up one or two chances in that game, come on Richie lad, pretend you’re playing for Brazil!!!

Given the current climate he'd probably struggle to find a club to match his wages, when you think of the type of side considered to be an upgrade and the losses they seem to be incurring.

I think you'll see a lot of clubs (like we are) with expensive, unused squad members who won't leave because of the cut in pay.

Back to Richarlison, if he can find form now at this stage of the season it would be of huge benefit to us. He started the season well but his finishing was poor. His work rate is there just need the rest of his game to click.
