2020/21 Richarlison

Does it seem like he's sulking far more loudly and frequently?

I know you would expect him to sulk more if the team aren't doing well and he isn't scoring, so it's probably that, but I also get the feeling that he just doesn't fit / like Carlo's style of play / management. Richarlison may be one of those players who needs to be made to feel special, rather than a cog in a machine.

It is a gut feeling I have that maybe he will eventually get his move, but it won't be for £80-100m to a Barcelona or Madrid (as it could and should be) but will be for £30-40m to someone like a Monaco, Sevilla, Napoli or RB Leipzig.

Under the right coach and in the right system, he could be a top, top player, but he hasn't adapted well to Carlo.

Richarlison hasn't had the best of seasons for us, but I'm sure he's just as frustrated as anybody that things haven't been working out for him. Hopefully, a bit of rest when this season ends, followed by a decent pre-season, will set him up nicely for next years' assault on the league.
I think he’s hoping to be playing in two tournaments for Brazil over the summer, “a bit of rest” - I suspect he’ll come back even more knackered than he looks at the moment! It’s a big assumption at the moment that Brazil even pick him based on his attitude/form recently!

This might be controversial but this fellas name seems to be one of the first on the teamsheet this season and lets face it he's been woeful at times, but he still keeps getting picked. This can only point to one thing the squad is that bad that even when a player is crap for most of the season he's still better than any possible replacement we have at the moment. This must be corrected in preseason, we cant afford to carry someone (i know there's lots of others this applies to) through a season again. Lots of other places in the team have been shuffled/players dropped etc but this fella hasn't been touched. He can't be allowed to get away with another season like this one. Like somebody said earlier after last season he was being touted as a £100m for one of the big Spanish teams, after this season we'd be lucky to get our money back.

He is out of form, but he obviously has ability, and doesn't shirk from his responsibilities.

His form has suffered because of the way we are set up, which is as a result of not having the depth and quality in midfield. Add more dynamism, energy and creativity to midfield and you can adapt you're strategy, to be more open.

Currently Richarlison is having to play as both an extra midfielder and an outlet. It's not easy for anyone. I can understand his frustrations, and it explains his drop in form.

I still think he can improve on decision making and finishing, but he's young. He will either improve and we will reap the benefits or we will sell for a profit.

Him and DCL are the least of worries.

I wouldn't rule out selling Richarlison but there is no way that it will be for £30-40 m.

I agree that we wouldn't get a fee approaching £80 m and therefore think that it is unlikely that we will let him go.

The thing that does worry me about Richarlison and DCL is that they show no semblance of being a front pairing. They just don't compliment each other or appear to work together.

Who was doing the touting, pricing him at &100, his agent? No clubs came in for him with any firm offers, all paper talk, but it seems that Charlie believes the hype, there is nothing really special about the lad as a footballer.

Such a streaky player. If he gets in a position where can pick it up, give himself a bit of space and hit it in a few seconds, he's class. Good in the air as well. He can run with the ball too, but his passing is truly woeful. Lost count of the number of times he's picked it up in a good position and chosen the wrong pass / executed it badly. No wonder DCL looks frustrated playing with him. Ultimately I think he's best playing right up top, but the same can be say of DCL. They just might not work together.

Pretty much how i see him. Streaky is the perfect description. Walks into our team though because of the lack of quality competition.

Him sulking is just a narrative made up by our own fans bizarrely, He's competitive and a sore loser, He wants to win he wants to score and when it doesn't get happened he gets annoyed with himself and sometimes our garbage team mates who can't pass.

I'm surpsied DCL hasn't haymakered someone yet the service him and Richarlison get provided with, It's literal scraps or a cross from Digne.
