2020/21 Richarlison

Good on his day but unfortunately those days seem to be drying up. The right offer comes in he can go for me.
Quite agree. Fabrizio Romano said on his Twitch stream that there are plenty of clubs interested in him, but Benitez would be talking to him to try and make him stay. Can’t say I’m bothered if he does or not as I’ve never made any secret of my stance on him.

Strikes me as the kind of player we could sell, reinvest, and actually improve as a team from selling. Much harder to replace DCL.

He said last summer that ancelotti basically had to beg him to stay for just one more season. So I can't see Rafael convincing him to stay another season.

Also be arsed with him needing convincing to stay every year, bye lad!
Any player worth having needs to be convinced to stay at a club that hasn’t been in Europe for years. Richarlison is a starter for Brazil, he is better than finishing between 8th and 12th every year.
If he’s still with us next season it’s because we’ve let him represent his country and have convinced him we’re on the up, probably by making some big signings.

Enjoyed watching him but if we get a bid of sixty million plus it's probably worth taking as we can reinvest in two positions a right winger and a striker and that's despite the fact his value isn't at it's peak. On the other hand if they can convince him to stay another season it's good news as I think he will be better this season and will be worth more next summer.

Thats the problem with this season the lad will be burned out from two international tournaments.

The club should have had the balls to tell him one or the other.

Pedro out and Richarlison in.

I think that means hes the only Brazilian who would be playing in both tournaments.

Talk of £60mil for him is far too low. If were going to sell then we would need to have enough money to sign 2 younger starters with the potential to be top class.

The bare minimum id entertain would be higher than the £75mil we got for Lukaku.

£80mil after the season hes had and coming off two international tournaments with 3 years left on his deal.

Even that should be seen as a low amount for clubs wanting a brazilian starter.

The feeling was that Everton wouldn’t be keen on Richarlison going, given he has already been playing for Brazil at the Copa America this summer and is likely to have little rest ahead of next season.

It appears the forward has had his own way, though, revealing he spent all day arguing with the Toffees over his release.

“I fought there, right? I was arguing all day with Everton, with the manager,” UOL report him saying to ESPN after the 1-0 win against Chile.

“I also called the new coach. It’s very important for me to get this experience, to get more maturity because it will be important for me.

“When I heard the news that Everton released me, I came to the game even more happy to wear this shirt.

“Now, it’s about getting to the dressing room, celebrating with my teammates, because the game was very difficult too.”

SELL

Tough one for the club this. Had some tough decisions as a club recently haven't we. He wants to play football, Brazil obviously want him to but we obviously won't. I don't envy Benitez here. I'm a fan of Richarlison, I think he's struggled for form this past season and possibly being versatile goes against him. It may be a good time to sell him though. The amount of football he's played already he could burn out in a year or so.

As ever, it depends how we managed it. Hopefully we've learned from the Lukaku transfer and sign a replacement before we sell him. If we signed two players for the Richarlison transfer fee it'd certainly soften the blow. Also if we signed LW that actually worked better with Digne it'd be a bonus.

He will give it all for Brazil the next few weeks and start sulking as usual when he starts playing for us.

I have no problem, as long as he has a good rest and we have cover for him, that needs a new signing.

Problem is we have too many areas needed to improve the squad without having to need to worry about this.

I love the lad but he's acted a complete bell over this and I just cant see him being on it next season after playing a congested PL season followed by 2 international tournaments one after another before another season.

Get someone like Zaha in who can play across the front 3 and have him on the bench for as long as needs be - he can't complain when he's got splinters in his arse.

Imagine he trys the Rodriguez fatigue card when the season starts, I know he just wants to play but he needs to realise there's also a world cup after next season he could leave himself open to niggling injuries and 'fatigue' before Brazil bail him for the world cup, plus he needs to improve alot for us this season after last year's stink show
