Levy would swap Son for Richarlison in a heartbeat...Simeone would do the same with Felix.

Why has Richarlison outscored him in 2 out of the last 3 seasons?

"Iffy" ? Hes had one poor season last year...poor based on his usual high standards.

Id say Son is a snivelling little coward :p
One poor season?? He disappears for about twenty games every season. When he’s goid, he’s good, but his overall contribution to games is so unreliable

His value to us, is different to what others value him.
What are the values of Jack Grealish, Harry Kane?? £58 mill and £108 mill….and they are going for way more….and nobody is questioning it.

Always same comes up with zaha, its what these player mean to the selling club.
And also what they add to the buying club.
Richarlison is not our Zaha, Grealish or Kane though. He is not a talisman that regularly wins games for us, a play that we would build a side around. He also isnt a local lad that came through the ranks and has an emotional attachment to the club.

He is arguably our most important player, Brazilian international startrer, and not even at his prime.

His value & importance is huge, to us and to Brazil.

I would swap son for richarlison in a heart beat

….Son is 29. Although he’s been fantastic for Spurs, I do wonder if he’d be quite the same player away from that club. The Son/Kane partnership is formidable, he’s clearly settled and content where he is and I have my doubts he’d be as effective elsewhere.

We see Richarlison week-in week-out, warts and all. He’s a very effective footballer, he’s a big game footballer. He’s not a fancy footballer, he’s not particularly pleasing on the eye but he’s very effective and must be a really difficult opponent to face.

Its a purely hypothetical argument, but we’ll really miss Richarlison when he’s not here.

77m is well too high.

Let's look at transfermarkt to take some of the bias out of this. They have him at 43m which I don't actually care about because their values aren't fine tuned enough imo but is worth at least considering.

What is more interesting though is that they rate him as the 68th most valuable player in the world. Even if you think they're underselling him some there just aren't that many players in the world who are worth that much money. That's really a top 15 to 20 player in the world entering their prime type of fee and frankly Richarlison is not that.

I think I'd try to hold off on selling this year but next summer I'd not hesitate at all and I would not give him a new deal either. He's kicking up a stink as soon as an offer he likes comes in new deal or not.

I asked this question on twitter and there were few answers, but I'll try the same here.

Can you show me a wide player, who is under 25, who has scored 45 domestic goals over the last 3 seasons in 1 of the top 2-3 leagues (so here, Italy and Spain) who has scored more goals than that and is available for less? If the valuation is well too high, there should be a number of examples you can provide?

Transfermarkt is in no way shape or form accurate. It would be like using someone opinion on here as fact.

He is worth what we deem him to be worth as a club. Seeing as we paid a decent amount for him and he is theoretically one of our most important players still 70 odd Million seems about right.

Why on earth are people countenancing selling Richarlison lol
I suppose it's because if we're going to 'do a Leicester' or 'do a Liverpool' we're going to have to sell one of the crown jewels at some point

The problem is - how much faith do we have in the current scouting/DOF system to bring in the appropriate players with the money we'd receive?

I'd have none
