2020/21 Richarlison

We bought him for 50m based on half a season at Watford, turned him into a full Brazil international who’s set to add an Olympic medal to a Copa America runner up medal and you want to sell him for just 10m profit?
It wasn't 50m though was it?

And I don't know l think there's a fair question to ask about how much his value has actually appreciated since he joined us.

60m I'd probably take.

Osimhen went for 65m at 22 years old. That's closer to Richarlison's range for a value.

1: Osimhen was at Lille where £65mil is enormous money for them.

2: He came from the French league which can be hit and miss.

3: He plays for Nigeria which isnt close to Brazil for exposure and marketing opportunities.

To compare with a Brazilian first choice forward, proven in the premier league and who is a global name....thats a stretch.

Also, as above Lille were prepared to sell at £65mil because for them its a huge amount. That fee to Lille is probably comparable to us selling at £130mil....not because of player ability, just because of the value of the transfer and club size.

As he signed a new deal, my estimate would be that his book value would be between £17-25mil.

The supposed €90mil value, or about £77mil seems to be fair value in the current market.

We should be doing all we can to hold onto him and make him one of our highest paid players on a new 5 year deal.

77m is well too high.

Let's look at transfermarkt to take some of the bias out of this. They have him at 43m which I don't actually care about because their values aren't fine tuned enough imo but is worth at least considering.

What is more interesting though is that they rate him as the 68th most valuable player in the world. Even if you think they're underselling him some there just aren't that many players in the world who are worth that much money. That's really a top 15 to 20 player in the world entering their prime type of fee and frankly Richarlison is not that.

I think I'd try to hold off on selling this year but next summer I'd not hesitate at all and I would not give him a new deal either. He's kicking up a stink as soon as an offer he likes comes in new deal or not.

This? https://www.transfermarkt.com/spieler-statistik/wertvollstespieler/marktwertetop

13th Rashford
15th Son
17th Felix
20th Llorente
28th Rice

Aside from the massively overvalued 'home grown' Rashford and Rice, id expect Spurs and Atletico to be happy to swap Son and Felix for Richarlison...perhaps even Llorente too.

Mind boggling that you would want to sell Richarlison for £60mil...peanuts.

This is insane. That's genuinely an all time worst take I've seen on this forum.

Genuinely can’t see why any Everton fan would want him to leave. He’s one of two players capable of scoring on a regular basis, starting Brazil international and young.

I get that if he left he’d go for a lot of money but it’s not my money so I don’t care, I would care if by selling him we sign a class rb, cm and a winger that can score goals and get more assists than richarlison does. But this is Everton, the team that bought 3 number 10’s when we sold lukaku and expected Sandro to score loads before realizing the guy was a burger maker at McDonald’s rather than a football player.
I don’t want him to leave, but last season I felt he underperformed, and didn’t look bothered. If he stays and performs that is my preference. If we face another season like last season and he clearly wants to go then getting big bucks is now is prob the best thing that could happen

His value to us, is different to what others value him.
What are the values of Jack Grealish, Harry Kane?? £58 mill and £108 mill….and they are going for way more….and nobody is questioning it.

Always same comes up with zaha, its what these player mean to the selling club.

…he’s worth what Everton are prepared to sell him for and somebody else is prepared to pay. Given his contract situation, I imagine Everton would want a significant amount more and a club will pay a significant amount more than you think he’s worth.

Whenever he goes, he’ll go for big money.

Levy would swap Son for Richarlison in a heartbeat...Simeone would do the same with Felix.

Son is twice the player of richarlison. Unfortunate, but true

Why has Richarlison outscored him in 2 out of the last 3 seasons?

It 's never going to happen and I'm just thinking about what they offer now. I like Richo but he's iffy and Son isn't.

"Iffy" ? Hes had one poor season last year...poor based on his usual high standards.

Id say Son is a snivelling little coward :p
