Tbh he needed a break. He’s played way too much football recently when not fully fit. It showed today. A bit of time out the team to get full fitness back won’t be that bad as long as his absence isn’t too detrimental to the team. Time for Iwobi or Gordon to step up.

Yes, like when he lost his way at Watford after a great start. He should have sat out the Brazil fixtures but decided to play. He looks off his game and was poor today (that shot he had in the 1st half was dreadful as an example). Needs a break, even if this is enforced.

Time for Iwobi, Bernard or Gordon to step up. Even Nkounkou looks like he can offer some quality there too.

I didn't say outscore. I said use richy more centrally where he'd be more effective and where he'd score more goals from. Nkoukou would be more effective on the left than richy as far as crossing, beating players and providing assists. Just my opinion. Richy resembles a headless chicken at times, especially in the wide role. He was poor today, like many other days. A bit too many for my liking.

He’s been our shining light for a number of years. Not great today but still contributed doing the ugly stuff and holding the ball up when needed. He’ll have plenty of better days and contribute hugely to the season I’m sure.

He wasn't great today, like most days be honest. I like the lad, he's usually great at finishing chances in and around the box, but apart from finishing and work rate, he doesn't really have a trick or pass, or cross or clinical through ball does he? so I don't know why we're persisting with him on the left. Nkoukou offers more in that postion. can richy cross as well as nkoukou? Can he beat players the way nkoukou does? Move richy more central and closer to goal where he'd be more effective.
