I actually like the fire is his belly as it drives him on and doesn't give up, but he's still got to temper that fire and as you say rightly mature - gain some experience.

He was playing poorly and his emotions got the better of him meaning we'll now miss it. If he hadn't made the tackle, he'd have been able to rectify it next week.

Brilliant player for us, were lucky to have him, never stopped trying, never hides and still made some important challenges in our area, also unluckily hit the post. Their much vaunted attacking fullback was rarely seen. Still say it was shin to shin and should only be one game ban at most.

Oh yeah, I agree. I love the desire he shows - he just needs to learn to channel it a bit better. He already sulks less than he used to, but he’s not there yet.

Is that a 3 game ban or a 1 game ban?

Depends how the tackle is viewed mate. I would imagine it would be serious foul play so that could lead to a three game ban.

Yeah, I saw a bit of early Richy in James’ rolling this afternoon. Maybe after a while you give up on it in the PL.

Clear to me, same with James that the International Break and going to South America takes its toll.

James had a good game considering, Richarlison looks absolutely destroyed. The 3 game break will do him loads of good and hopefully gives Gordon a chance off the bench.

Serious foul play is an automatic 3 games ban...what I am not sure is if they could increase the ban especially with all the pressure from the liverpool media in the next few days...and very much depending if thiago is seriously hurt or not...

No I don 't think they can. They sometimes increase the ban if it is challenged by the club if they consider it to be time wasting. But other than that no.

Just take it on the chin. Shame there isn't another league cup game so it looks like the final game of the ban is against United.

Still, it's an opportunity for somebody else, most probably Iwobi. But it creates a space on the bench for Gordon and if he can come on in games and do well he could force his way into the reckoning. I feel at the moment Carlo may be teaching him a lesson in patience.

how can he possibly pull back his tackling foot after touching the ball in such a short time. It’s beyond human reaction and rs should stop whining about it.

It was maybe out of control yes, but he is trying to win the ball. Its a contact sport. Conpare that to robertson, who lashed out at allan and raked his ankle, doing nothing but trying to injure the player then their fans have no right whatsoever to moan.

Lads been a bit reckless with his tackling all season in fairness.

The West Ham one he went lunging in and injured himself.

Needs to start tackling more standing as going in sliding all the time with VAR constantly monitoring is a recipe for disaster.

He didnt have his best game, but still had an influence in stopping them coming down the right. Their right back didnt make many forays too far forward as they knew they had to keep an eye on him at all times.
It'll be a 3 game ban I think.

It was difficult. I wouldn't say a sitter. Should have done better, yes, but not like it was a yard out and he's skied it.

Lad is one of our better players and is gonna be a big miss.
