And how much money would those we need to offload realistically raise (beyond DCL and Richarlison)? And who would be willing to pay the same wages we pay even if we did shift them on. The cost of paying off all those bloated contracts might end up offsetting whatever money we make from shifting them on. Add to that the turnover from contracts running out in the summer (in some cases, thankfully) and you can see a summer with lots of changes whatever division we are in, and a massive job for whoever is managing us to try to get some sort of cohesive unit together to show up convincingly by the start of next season.
I think DCL & Richarlison, Pickford to. Maybe the odd surprise sale, if someone comes in with a big bid. Gray and Godfrey

Will probably balance out us not getting much for some of the others. Like Gomes, iwobi, keane, Holgate, Mina.

Why do you have to spoil everything with reality!!??

Can see the sense in having to sell one of Dom or Richie to fund spending but not the crazy shouts of “sell them because they’re crap”. They’re actually two of the few good players we have, we’ll struggle to replace with the same level of quality, folk don’t seem to acknowledge that.

The noises coming from Richarlison are all positive. I hope that if we survive relegation then we tie him down to a 5 year deal through a 3 year extension.

The problem is that we have DCL, Richarlison and also Gray who look to be more interested in being selfish and going for goal rather than being adept at linking up together.

The second problem is that only Dele and Gordon seem to be able to provide assists while in central midfield theres nothing that screams top 6 or top 4 quality.

For me, everything about Richarlison is positive and I can see him being a global star if he joined one of the elite teams...

...however, if we sold him for £50/60/70/80mil (for me its £70-80mil) and used those funds on other players then it could massively improve the team.

For arguments sake (and im just throwing easy flavour of the month names out) if we sold Richarlison and signed Mitchell and Guehi from Palace for the same fee our defence may look much better.

Likewise what if the fee was used on bringing in a top class CB and a super CM player...

Would the benefit outway the negatives? I dont know, but Id hope that Thelwell is working on shifting out Holgate, Gomes, Iwobi, Mina, Gbamin, Rondon, Coleman, Keane to add to Kenny, Sigurdsson, Delph, Lonergan and Tosun leaving.

If there truly is a massive clearout and then we also sell Richarlison then to me it makes sense as with the huge numbers out the door we would need a big sale to cover the outlay of the incomings...id even be fine with BOTH Richarlison and DCL leaving if that were the case.

A real restart under Thelwell and Lampard.

But if we only sell Richarlison or DCL and two or 3 of the 8+ players we should move on then i think it would be very worrying.

I'd rather we didn't. His value is only going down and he's not got enough quality to be a real difference maker at the level we're hopefully still aspiring to. If the right deal is there we should take it and look for younger with the potential to be better in time.

The genre of this post is "Pickford kept a clean sheet for England!!!!!" after a game against Montenegro
Oh the classic it’s a crap football country post

Sorry I’ll reserve praise when he only scores against Argentina

I mean ranking is so important especially after the current European champions missed out on going to the World Cup losing at home to a side ranked only 9 places above Bolivia

You think I care about ranking? I'm more concerned that we're bothered he's scored on a league one quality side. Ranking be damned.
