I don't know what Newcastle intend to do, but I'd suggest if they do want to compete with those at the top that they start by paying higher wages as that is the direct line to the top. So that's why, they should pay their signings well more than what we are.
He's been with us what three seasons? We haven't had European football once I would guess that will motivate him more than bigger wages. Newcastle will find out the kinds of players who are often attracted to bigger wages are the types we have wasted money on.

Well yes signing Richarlison would be a waste of money but that doesn't mean they won't do it.
