…he’s our best player in the scheme of things, I imagine he’s the one player Lampard wants to keep.
Indeed. That's why we were fighting relegation. He sets a fairly mediocre bar.

I'd be happy for him to stay (one of only two that applies to) - but I'm not joining in the "Robbie has left Take That" hysteria that's pock-marking this thread. He's nothing special in terms of Evertonian history and still wouldn't make the top five Everton players of the last 20 years - which is saying something as it was a largely mediocre era. But to read this thread, Dixie is waving goodbye.

You mean Thank God the rest of football doesnt ignore Penos?

Phew, right.
Smart teams definitely ignore them when deciding who to buy. But football is still filled with dumb dumbs.

Man United buy Richarlison for example. How many penalties is he scoring there? You just bought a 7 goal scorer for your team even if he scored 10 for Everton.

That’s the point, though, isn’t it? That’s why people are desperate to keep him. Because nearly all the rest are useless.

I agree he doesn’t make the top 5 Everton players of the last 20 years. But he certainly makes the top 5 Everton players of now, and I don’t trust the hierarchy to spend any money we get for him (yet, they may do a good job in the transfer market).

Mate its widely accepted amongst the fanbase that as a team we staved our attacking talent of goal scoring chances.

We had about 15 games this season where we didnt create a single chance PER 90.

Just wanted to throw that in there.

I actually do think Richarlison is overrated and not good enough to play for some of the clubs people seem to think he’ll walk into on here for some reason. He is an effective player for a club of our level though.
Yeah I agree, but I also would put Lookman in that basket which I'm sure you disagree with. It's not a compliment for Lookman so much.

Fair. Also the games where Richarlison is a wide player he's as much the cause of this as the victim.

The clubs Lookman isn’t good enough to play for are: Everton, Leicester, Leipzig.

The clubs you think Richarlison isn’t good enough to play for, based on rumours, are: PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona.
