2021/22 Richarlison

Smart teams definitely ignore them when deciding who to buy. But football is still filled with dumb dumbs.

Man United buy Richarlison for example. How many penalties is he scoring there? You just bought a 7 goal scorer for your team even if he scored 10 for Everton.
So, Utd would ignore his pens, but also ignore the fact we were a very defensive team that isolated him as a lone striker for large parts of the season?
If they were to do that, in fact if anybody believed Richy would only score 7 in a better team then 'dumb dumb' is definitely a good description, but they wouldn't do that(even the current Utd), you however, would? Am I interpreting this correctly?

Top 5 players over the last 20 years, interesting.
Depends on what makes a top player tho. Skill, commitment, loyalty, flexibility.
I'd probably have Coleman, Baines, Cahill, lukaku and Richarlison.
Honorable mentions to the Yak, Artetta, Campbell, Barry, Howard, Martin, Jags and maybe pickford.

Can of worms truly opened here!
You could make a case for swapping any of the honorable mentions for the best, and there are probably players outside that selection who could feature. Probably a discussion best held during a long afternoon in a pub with mates, working through, from left to right, the pub's substantial shelf of malt whiskies.

I wouldn't be totally shocked if Richarlison didn't better seven in a better side because he'd be watching the team play a lot of weeks.

That's the wild thing about any United rumours (and I don't think there are any?), he doesn't actually improve them.

Harry Kane leads the way in big chances created with 19, Richarlison is Evertons highest with 7.

Demz Gray is 2nd with 6, Gordon with 4, Harry Kane created more chances than our entire forward line.

Everton is 20th out of 20 for big chances missed with 24, which does seem a lot, until you see that City had 65.

We didnt create anything for our Strikers.

Ok. Either you watch football and haven't a clue what is happening or you haven't watched the latest installment of Utd.
Name one of their inside forwards that performed better than him last season? Just One
They're extremely lacking in this department and he would certainly improve their side
Not their first target, but definitely being monitored by them, and not for the bench either

We finished 16th guys, do we really need to go through every team in the league and pick out who they have that is better than our players? A lot of them are.

Stick to Tennis coz you're better at deflecting than following up on your own points being countered
Ok so I guess we do need to do this for every club. I'm just going to do left wingers/forwards.

City: Grealish, Sterling, Foden
RS: Mane (I guess not anymore), Diaz, Jota
Chelsea: Mount (I'm not adding anymore because we did this yesterday and it's annoying)
Spurs: Son
Arsenal: Martinelli (that's going to get people going, idc, he's class and Arsenal shouldn't buy Richarlison to stall his progress)
United: Sancho, Rashford (now you're definitely fuming)
Rest: Not sure there are too many tbf, Benrahma did ok for Wham, Coutinho has had a higher peak, Barnes is solid enough, Zaha was better this year for sure. I wouldn't say any is definitively better though overall.

So yeah that's my list. Go ahead and tell me how wrong I am.

Are you ok? Really?
The only person who said we need to do this for every club, is you.
You said he doesn't improve Utd, I said he does
and seeing as Utd are the only prem team linked with him so far you are just adding more deflection
Here's a reminder, though it happened in the last 15min
1. You said UTD would be signing a 7 goal per season player(because of pens)
2. I said he would score more in a better team and buying clubs know this
3. You said he wouldn't because he would be watching them play
4. I said he wouldn't because he performed better than their inside forwards last season and would be first choice, asking you to name one
5. You said Everton finished 16th therefore something something other clubs(because I presume, Utd would be buying the whole team now or something)
6. I said you are deflecting
7. you deflected some more
8. I point this out
9. up to date, awaiting next episode

Ok well I named them. Sancho and Rashford are both better. Yes I know Rashford had a rough year.

I just imagined the reactions Ronaldo is going to have to some of his crap and now I really want this to happen.

Personally, I would not swap Rico with Rashford. Not a hope.
Depends on who you're getting, this Rashford or pre-Ronaldo taking over the club Rashford. The old version is vastly superior imo and his ability to be impactful in games he doesn't score would be huge for us. We have very few attackers capable of that currently.

Richy had a better year than both of those players
Rashford looks done
Sancho, arguably settling but bought for the right side
Ronaldo would love his determination to fight for the team, because the lack of it is something that has shocked him since returning to the club that used to have players who care.
I don't, I want us to keep him, but if he does go to them, it'll be for the starting 11 and he'd score more than 7(which is where this exchange began)
