What's wrong with the club trying to be ambitious? It's a simple yes or no ain't it? Everton and Richarlison can either laugh off and reject the interest, or accept it. ( That is if there is even any truth to this transfer rumour, as most Villa fans don't think it makes any sense ).

Wouldn't you agree that clubs only improve, by trying to sign players which are " Above their station " on paper ?

The owners are ambitious and trying to " give it a proper go "

Agreed! Vitriol is uncalled for. Definitely unwarranted.

Problem is mate all clubs have idiot fans that don’t have a clue and no respect
Villa always been a big club with a huge fan base
Always remember going to Villa away in the 80’s
Very similar clubs.
I’m sure we also would have won the European cup only for our scumbag neighbours!!!!
Anyway Villa’s best teams always had Evertonians playing.
Tony Morley, Kenny Swain and Peter Withe. I always count Ken Mcnaught as one of us as well. Met him a couple of times at. Stratford Town on Villa old boys reunion and he still loves Everton as he started with us
Good luck next season like but hate your manager as he’s an asshole!!!

Suprised as the hatred and ignorance on here from Everton Fans. We're such similar clubs and Everton usually highly regarded on our forums.

Not sure if links work on here but this is a fascinating watch that shows how our clubs have basically dominated League Football (invented by Aston Villa thanks to William McGregor) in this country for most of history, with Sunderland also in and about us for long periods too.

Most of the "big 6" are fairly recent interlopers. It's only since the formation of The Premier League we've really dropped out of that elite group.

It’s an Everton forum, if you’re coming here expecting Everton to fawn over Aston Villa, then you’re wrong.

I don’t like Villa, but only because you’re a similar sized club, similar ambition, similar historical success. It’s a rival. It’s the whole fun of football.

Going into bragging rights and including runners up as honours is laughable. You’re better than that.

Fact is, we need to generate some revenue so we can buy players and rebuild.

Will Richarlison go? Yes. Does Aston Villa make any sense? Absolutely not.

It’s not against Villa, but you’re still not where he would want to be. He realistically deserves Europe every season, and why shouldn’t he?

Villa arent there, we can’t offer him it. So if he goes, I think he’ll be going to one of the “big 6” or abroad.

Agreed, in the very unlikely event Richarlison ended up at Villa Park it would be because the clubs and the player agreed the move.

I'm all for clubs showing ambition.

Just not sure Villa would have the available $$$ and legroom to pull-off such a deal myself, regardless of what Richarlison thought of the prospect.

Wasn't expecting any fawning, I was just answering the question posed.
 

I personally think its a shame when opposition fans visit another teams forums and get crap from loads of posters? Its different if they come on being abusive, or pretending to be a blue (yes I mean all you red shoite 5th columnists) but when they come on just to engage, then banter aside, I don’t think they should be attacked. It is always nice to get their perspective on us as well as on players of theirs we may have been linked with.

Agreed on all points, I have worked with many Villans over the years and they have always been absolutely sound.
