As you get lower, whats the rest got?

Nobody has great back ups.

Yes sure but it's tougher to call it depth when one plays wide every week

We'll find out early if this new DoF is up to the job, as it's vital that the fee we receive for Richarlison isn't wasted.

As much as I always go on about getting on the ball in midfield, Tottenham finishing fourth (which is everybody's aim from fifth down, and also up for grabs most years now) has made me wonder if this is a league where firepower simply trumps all.

Comparing their team to ours, I'd say it's in those front three positions where the biggest gulf in class can be found, so maybe that's where the bulk of this windfall should go.

Spurs have got away without good creativity in the middle of the park because Son is as skilled, pacy, and ruthless on the counter as any player in recent memory- maybe Vardy at his absolute peak. Don’t much need a playmaker to thread passes if every time he picks up a loose ball at the halfway line, Son is odds on to score ten seconds later.

Since we won’t have such a forward I’d still really like a playmaker.
