Never understand shouts like this.
Rondon has played multiple seasons in the Premier League and has nearly 90 International caps.
Ellis Simms will never reach that level, hes not and never will be a better option.

I agree he may never reach the peak levels Rondon reached but the Rondon Benitez signed, the one sat on our bench who's slower than erosion? Simms or Dobbin has every chance of offering more next season

What level? The level of strolling around the pitch and let others do the dirty work? It’s like pressing with 10 men for 90mins, disrupt the entire work ethics that we needed to survive.
No free pass for Rondon next season. Everything about him reminds me of fat waiters failure
Even at his worst hes done more than Simms has.
I get it, people want young players to succeed, but the vast majority of them wont, no matter how much you will it to happen.

really ? Simms is 21. and looks like he could be a real prospect. i would love Rondon to come good for us but it aint gonna happen. i wonder who signed him for us in the first place ?
Rondon coming good? He’s 32 he’s at the level he is, he’s just a decent back up striker. What makes simms look like a great prospect? A goal every 3 games isn’t bad but we’re talking 3rd tier and Scotland
If simms was going to breakthrough he’d have done it by now.

Eitht goals in the Scottish prem (in a faily decent team), Rondon would have blitzed that league, even this season
….Simms is already a much better back-up than Rondon. This isn’t a lazy, throwaway statement, it’s an opinion based on reasoned evidence.
I watched him a bit at U23 and he only came alive when the ball was in the box or played in behind, his link up plays and back-to-goal technique left a lot to be desired but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at his progress.
He was a handful for the Rangers CBs in the Cup Final, a pairing that reached the EL final. He’ll run the channels, he’ll win headers, he‘s powerful, deceptively fast, progressive & carries a genuine goal threat. Rondon is laborious, can’t keep up with quick breaks, offers no opposition running channels & never looks like scoring.

The coaches really need to work on his stamina and final ball/option in the summer for him to improve , he either has a medical problem that knackers him after 60 odd minutes or they need to teach him to pace his game better.

Doesn't matter if its PSG Chelsea or anyone else....
He was one of a select few who gave his all and then some last season and his genuine infinity for the club and fan base is irreplaceable...
That saying if any player at the club deserves a move to a club that will elevate his career and play him at a higher level then its him no one else at the club would get that move or deserve one
I would wish him well and thank him regardless of were he goes
