He’s literally proven to be the level of elite. Established with the greats of the Brazilian national team, and has proven he can play against the top sides.

He’s not a World Class player, but he’s a player any of the top sides would love.

In a normal season this would be more relevant. The World Cup starts after about 16 PL games and a full set of CL fixtures- international managers will be expecting plenty of rotation and won’t mind if he doesn’t play every single one of those games.

Real Madrid easily.

He will probably go for closer to £60m but £50m is not an unreasonable bid. He wants to leave, he does not have a long contract. He’s 25 so he’s not going to improve significantly beyond the level he is at currently so is not comparable to the likes of Antony who have higher ceilings.

He has averaged 10 league goals a season for 3 years now, fewer than Rashford across that same period who is of a similar age. Spurs had a bid for Rashford rejected last week. Richarlison is the next obvious, available wide player with Premier League experience.

If he goes there, good luck to him. He has done well for the club and kept us in the league last season, he deserves Champions League Football and Spurs will give him that.

Agree that the mid season WC is a different scenario than normal, but even so, if he doesnt get game time before it, he may fret about his place for Brazil. That said, I havnt got the foggiest idea of the make up/pecking order in the Brazil squad.
