We paid that for him though I dare say other clubs will be keen too

What other clubs? There are very few clubs can afford to pay £50m+ for any player. I do not think there are any that would be strongly interested in him at that fee.

Richarlison wants to leave.

His stats over the last few years say he is a good player not a top player.

Also, we need the money.

Those three factors suggest the deal gets done for £50-£60m.

Resigned to losing him this summer but hope the Winks rumour is bull. What a way to weaken the team. Sell our best player then hand money back for one of their scraps. But this is Everton and we can never get it right.

Wrong

& very wrong

We are not skint , we are hamstrung in ways to spend due to FFP/ Prem Sustainabilty rules.
Moshiri has never backed away from spending his money & would continue but for those rules.

Never EVER has Richy made out he is desperate to leave.

And no way this would affect his market price.

Stop talking nonsense

In line with the rules, we need to generate money to spend money. That is the situation.

Richarlison does not have to say publicly he is desperate to leave for that to be true. Remember, he has publicly said something similar last summer that he wanted to leave but stayed for Ancelotti.

A player publicly saying they want to leave a club is usually their last option as it severs their relationship with the club and the fans, it makes it very difficult for them to stay. The buying club know this gives them leverage. Richarlison loves Everton and probably wants to leave on the right terms.

You have no idea what we have offered for him stay either.

Problem with Spurs is that they are much better negotiators than us.

Ask Spurs fans?

The Kane negotiations were a slo-mo train wreck. More than that, this was a team in a CL final 3 years ago that fumbled away chances to capitalize on that at the time and improve. They’re back in the CL now but that is mostly down to one player playing out of his mind and the flaws of the other sides in their weight class imo. Kulu and a couple others have been good business but this is not a good wheeling and dealing club.

That is true. But realistically, unless it is a commitment of a transfer budget that takes Everton to the Champions League next year, I doubt he would be interested. Which is probably why he was always likely to leave this summer and why most fans expect him to.

Or you could say that Levy set a price for Kane and wouldn't budge, so Kane stayed and the next season Spurs qualified for the Champions League. Sounds like pretty good work to me. Better than agreeing to pay up to £40m for Dele anyway.

Last player we should be selling but it's not the least bit surprising considering out league position and finchial situation plus this club has no backbone and will sell any assets so we can sign the likes of lingard, winks and McTominey.

Typical everton behaviour see the likes of lukaku, gana, stones, digne etc
