Would people be happy if we took 50 million and no transfer fee costs for deli?. We have to pay 10 million for deli when he reaches 20 appearances that’s including the ones he has this season. So that’s coming up. Then it can rise further to anywhere between 20-40 million in in certain milestones being reached.

I'd maybe want slightly more cash still, but that would be a reasonable solution. The problem with the progressive fee arrangement is with the FFP restrictions we presumably have to keep aside budget to cover any payments that might trigger in the next year. A renegotiation involving Richy would at least let us set our budget.

No we just have to sell other players. I would put Richarlison as the last player we should sell, therefore the player with the highest premium over"market value".

But very few of our players are salaeable, as they are on contracts beyond their worth. Nobody wants to buy our dross, which can't get into a side struggling with relegation, but are paid European places wages.

Is the right answer I'm afraid. I don't want to see him go one bit but our other two big assets are Pickford and DCL, there's not much market for GKs at the moment and DCL's value will have taken a hit after his injuries so Richy is the most realistic big money sale. Plus with 2 years left on the contract it's time to shift before the value starts to drop (assuming he wouldn't sign a new one).

So either we attempt to hold off on a big sale altogether and try to cobble together a budget of about 40 mil from Kean and a few fringe players, or we cash in now and get a budget that's closer to 100. Given the scale of the rebuild needed, in midfield in particular, I think selling Richy is the only way to go.

Obviously they are better than us in terms of financial position squad depth and quality new stadium and already settled in it. Which is miles ahead of where we are anytime soon, we can only dream of Europa league qualification after that awful season. spurs have consistently finished inside the top 7 since 09, since 2014 we've been awful and are continuing that trend but looking even worse lately spurs are miles ahead of us as a club an a much more attractive team to join than ours what player in our squad would get ahead of any spurs player?
Probably Richarlison mate if they're willing to drop 50-60m quid on him ?

Pickford too tbh
