Moshiri might, the PL might have different ideas.

The way I look at Everton is like spending on a credit card when you're unemployed. You might be able to pay it off for a while with some savings (Moshiri) but eventually they dry up and then what happens? You end up in debt.

People need to wake up to the troubles we could find ourselves in one day.

lol

That's more like it.

As they should be. Plenty of other suitors besides Spurs.
That’s why I don’t see him ending up at spurs, one because I’m not sure richarlison see’s it as a big move and two levy will try and drag it out for a while, adding a little bit each week or throwing another crap player into the mix

Fair enough. And I'm absolutely not having a go at @matty1878

Even if Moshiri is willing to drop that kind of money on players, I think we're in special measures with the league at least until the end of this summer. We're not going to see any major ins without players leaving.
Yeah, I agree.

Unfortunately, I don't see how any teams can break the clique at the top. Even newcastle with their limitless funds will struggle due to ffp. Its not and never will be a level playing field. I read how much Liverpool earnt from all their cup runs and champs league etc. It's impossible to compete because their turnover is so much more so can spend more, keeping the status quo.

And changing/bringing ffp rules in etc once the status quo is set, has made it harder.

If we need money surely it makes sense to wait 6 weeks and desperately try to offload the crocks and deadwood first? Imagine selling Richi for 50m then a few weeks later a miracle occurs and West Ham offer 20m for Keane, Torino offer 10m for Gomes and Marseille offer 15m for Mina.

We just escaped relegation on the penultimate game of the season the bold is completely irrelevant to us right now.

What we should be doing is taking last season as the wake up call; sell what we need to sell, reset, get ourselves financially healthy whilst finishing anywhere above 18th and slowly getting ourselves back up there. That will probably upset the large delusional portion of our fans who want everything and they want it now.

We cannot sleepwalk, bleeding money going into this new stadium.

On topic: sell two of Richarlsion, DCL and Pickford this Summer if needs be.

Yes because there is great evidence of us selling deadwood isn't there? It's not like we didn't just release, for free, like £70m worth of signings.

I was listening to the Tifo podcast a few weeks ago and they had the stat that if you go into the Europa league at the group stage and win every game all the way to winning the final, you'll make as much in prize money as a team who get knocked out in the last 16 of the CL having dropped some points in the group. Madness.

i completely forgot about kean

woooop stay richy

My guess is from earlier reports - we will be able to sign (excluding frees but including their signing fees) maybe two players without any other sales besides Kean, I'm just theorising but say a Gilmour and a loan fee for a good player (Gallacher etc) the names are just ballparking the type of money rather than specific player really.

Think then it comes down to loans/sales out and fees received to cover other incoming loan fees and low end (10-15m transfers).

Only major incoming I'd see is if we did sell Richy. I think if that happens we'd see one 'major' fee paid (30m+) in part to placate losing our favourite player, with the rest being used to supplement other deals.

See the likes of KLP, Gallacher, Zinchenko, etc being in that only arrive if Richy leaves group as the major spend with the other deals being more manageable without, Broja, Gilmour etc

The likes of winks etc I think are in the get a loan out of high wages then use that fee and wages to loan in useful depth

Most clubs are in debt as long as you service the debt and stay inside the rules then that’s not a problem. Moshiri might be quite happy for us to be that club until he sell’s

Some clubs can still can still spend vast sums why carrying huge debts like utd, im sure I read Burnley made a profit last season or tye season before, but ultimately it’s cost them in the end, the only other mid range teams Witt no debt will be the ones in the bottom 6 or yo-yo clubs like Norwich. Maybe a Southampton type club can stay in the league with clever recruitment and a good manager.

It seems moshiri is still committed to making us compete and get better and the only way is to just stay inside the rules for the next few years at least. I think we could buy somebody now. Not a big purchase, say KLP from Hull he would probably cost 20mil and with wages he’d probably cost 6mil on our books. We save 14mil With gylfi’s contract ending

I don't think we can sell both forwards. If we sell both and don't replace them adequately then we will get relegated. We have extremely little margin for error because we didn't even get 40 points. I think we definitely sell one this year, and the other the following season if necessary. We need to also make sure to move on the other underperforming players, especially those with only a year left, like Allan, Gomes, Mina etc.

I love both the lads but they scored 15 PL goals between them it's not like replacing Aguero or anything. I don't want to sell either but I'm willing to take a step back from the club I love and look at the bigger picture.

Strengthening defence and midfield will go along way to keeping us up. There are also still a fair few other BAD teams in this league.

If we sold both, we would need to find someone who could at least get 10 league goals next year, and that's not as easy as it sounds. We stayed up in the end because we scored slightly more goals than Burnley. I wouldn't back the club to do that. They tried to replace Lukaku with a £5m Sandro Ramirez....
