2021/22 Richarlison

There’s got to be Mike I’m not saying he’s world class but he’s a very very good player and I’m sure many clubs would want him

We’ve been saying this for years and years now and yet every summer there seems to be no interest in him. Some of our fans were convinced he was off in 2019. Spurs may well be the only team that makes an official bid for him, that wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

I imagine our valuation, and our willingness to stick to it, is what prevented any interest getting real traction.

I would be very surprised if that stance hasn't weakened significantly this summer, given the financial reality we find ourselves in.

Can't see him going to Spurs.

Perhaps using them to get the ball rolling so it doesn't drag on all summer.

For the price we want...I don't think so either.

Think Conte is wanting a proper champions league squad - Perisic, Kulvusevski, Richarlison - with Bergwijn and Moura out.

They're very light up top if Bergwijn and Moura go (Son and Kane left), so they need attackers.

Levy is just mega tight and will no doubt walk away if it gets to much

Slap a £77m price tag on his head and get a contract extension to his agent as soon as possible with a pay rise. I am not saying go offering him 150k a week as he's not worthy of that, but if he's not already then he should probably be our top earner, especially knowing that he'll leave as soon as our valuation is met anyway so we won't be paying him that for years on end.

I don't think he'll have any qualms in joining a different Premier League side, and nor should he, and I think Spurs would be a very attractive proposition to him.

Spurs do have a number of players I'd be interested in, but you just know that they'd be way overvalued and we'd come out of the deal looking like we've basically given him away for next to nothing. I can absolutely see a deal where we get Winks in exchange and any monies owed for Alli (don't forget the widely-quoted 'up to £40m' fee) written off. Winks and Alli for Richarlison anybody? lol

Errr....

Get out.

But we would want double what they want for Mane and Mane is miles better.
Doesn't mane want 350 odd k a week? Over the length of the contract the wages would probably balance out the transfer diff. Whether its Mane or Richarlison Bayern would still win the league in their sleep whilst not being good enough to win the CL. You just get a younger player who's probably less of a gamble given how Hazard transfer went.

So we're looking for around £60m for him which I think is probably reasonable on both ends, we were never getting massive money after the season we had. Makes sense too that Spurs reportedly have put in a bid at around £52m, shows that they're getting close to the valuation but classic Levy trying to shave even an extra few million off. Best case scenario for us is setting the price high but not so high that they can't be a bidding war over, might mean we end up with £65m rather than just £60m or ending up with a player on a free or something like that.
