2021/22 Richarlison

I can't see us selling on the cheap and there's no reason too. The media will do all they can to make the move happen though - especially as it's to one of their beloved big 6 and the narrative seems to be that we're skint and desperate to sell... that isn't the case, we just have no wiggle room given the messed up Profit and Sustainably rules the Premierleague enforce (and, lets be honest, our own poor spending over the years). I've been explaining that to a colleague that supports Spurs this morning. Will we sell - yes but not for the same price as Arsenal bought Ben White. And given the way the loveables next door swooped in and took Diaz off their hands in January, if Spurs want him they need to stump up the cash and act fast because their will be other suiters.
Personally, I have no issue with Richie moving on. He's done his time, served the club well and earned his move to a CL club - I'd much rather we sold him abroad but as long as we get big money I'm ok with it.

I wish they’d just announce it. In the days of agents it’s pretty much agreed already.
He owed us another year for the Olympics.

I doubt that 51m will be enough to really free our hands from FFP. More interested in outs for Gbamin and Gomes.

Spurs want Richarlison, but Everton will demand a big transfer fee

Richarlison is a player that the new agents have talked about with Tottenham, as with other clubs.
However, the club wants €70-75m as an opening price tag, so far it has not received offers at this level.

Tottenham are not the only club interested, but Spurs have a real interest in Richarlison.

I wouldn’t get carried away by some of the reports surrounding Richarlison and Spurs just yet, but the interest is there and it could be an excellent signing if they can see off competition for his signature.

Let's hope this competition is from abroad and we start a bidding war. No way i want to see him playing for any club against us next season and definately not spurs.

Spurs are probably interested because they believe we need to sell to raise money.... they are correct. They are hoping to sign a good player for less than market value , they are an attractive club at the moment with a good manager and CL on offer.

If none of the other big clubs show an interest we will probably be able to drag Spurs up somewhat but ultimately sell for less than we hoped.

He's under contract. He has a few years left on his current deal. We sell at a price that works for us - not Richarlison or Spurs.

Absolutely right. But it really does appear that our financial situation as such that we cannot afford to lose him for even less in a year's time or, even worse, for free in two seasons. I'm not sure how many suitors he'll have for £50m this summer, and Spurs will probably feel they have some ammunition in the form of Dele Alli (sigh) to use in any deal, but I genuinely think he is the sacrificial lamb to the slaughter to give Lampard a little money to try to improve the squad as a whole. It'll fail, of course, and we'll likely enter the season weaker than we ended the previous one.
