One of those ones no one agrees with me on but I see good goal scoring as about volume of shots, not quality.

If we gave your guy Doucoure 100 shots from the exact same positions as we gave someone like Everton Lukaku, who scores more?

Your boy Lewandowski fits into the randomness theory fwiw. He had one year where he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Thats just poor finishing, not randomness.

Lots of factors determine how well somebody can finish, its not random, sometimes somebody misses an open goal, again, its not random to miss the target from 6 yards, its just poor mental coupled with poor technique.

I've played. Last time playing 11s we played a 4-1-4-1. The tactic was to go from the wide players or the DM to the striker and then have him immediately play one of the CMs in because they were the fastest guys. I learned a lot about how Pep thinks from it.

Richy got 10 goals last year and is more proven, can play ST and is much better defensively. Raphinha got 11 goals and is better with the ball at his feet and a better playmaker. Both 25 and both have contracts expiring in 2024. Literally no reason we should accept any less than whatever he goes for, in fact we should demand 10m more.
