Mate I asked a simple question and you go off an a tangent about Gana and Gomes.

You seem to think we would have spent the money better.

Again, what part of our transfer policy over the last 5 years makes you think we would have used the money better?

Richarlison is a unicorn in Everton terms, his value has gone up in his time at the club, theres really not many you can say that about.

I said not many, I dont need a list.
Absolutely agree.

Recouping even the book value for an Everton player would be a start.

Richarlison hagiven us a few good years and will move on for a profit. That has not been the model in recent years.

Stinks of media bias Richy being touted for such a low fee...
Starting number 9 for Brazil...
Proven premier league goalscorer
Young and constantly improving...

Yet raphinha is quoted at 75 mill
Antony 70 mill..
Richy is better and more important than both

Thing is the media can quote what they want, but unless a club meets our value he wont be going, the problem is because of the mess Moshiri has made his value is low because clubs know we have to sell to buy, also we think he is better then he proberbly is because of his passion for EFC

If he's forced to stay that may test his alleged passion for EFC.

True but he might have no choice, he might find no other clubs really want him that much, like if Spurs really want him they will get him and pay what we want, same with Chelsea, he might find we are the only club that really wants him

And he may down tools. He has shown he can sulk and even with a World Cup on the horizon would Lampard want to chance it?

Tottenham Hotspur have ‘opened talks’ for the signing of Everton star Richarlison, according to claims from the Brazilian media.

Goal Brasil writes that Spurs should place a bid for the forward ‘in the coming days’, as the London side want to meet his staff and ‘discuss the numbers’ for a deal.

It’s said ‘there is the possibility’ Richarlison’s agents will meet members of Tottenham’s board, and the desire from the London side is to ‘formalise an offer and deliver it to Everton still in the month of June’.

According to Goal Brasil, Richarlison wants to sort out his future at the end of his holidays in Brazil, and is said to be attracted to the idea of playing in the Champions League.

Goal Brasil add that Everton haven’t set a price for the sale yet, despite knowing his wish of moving to a European ‘giant’.

It’s said that the player’s staff, who’ve been handling the talks, also had approaches from Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid.

The report doesn’t mention how much Tottenham are willing to spend on the signing.

But you're not allowed to discuss terms with players until an offer is accepted. That's tapping up.

True, but see i think that devalues him too, just like his run of about 10 games last season playing 90 minutes without scoring, the barren spell, the sulking...etc it all devalues him before we even look at club finances

Massive gamble to make him stay,a good World Cup could inflate his price just as an ACL could make it spiral downwards. Think once any player states however cryptically he wants away best to take the highest bid available.

Personally think Richarlison would be a bit like a Zaha if we made him stay. Think he would put the disappointed energy into his performances. Don't think he would ever refuse to play or play poorly, the lad likes winning games. Particularly in a WC year.
