I dont know mate. It was a genuine question, I've not seen. It sets some precedent.

Richarlison has better stats than him, but we are a more motivated seller.

I want to see more of Raphinha in the non-Bielsa world but it isn't hard for me to see a club scouting both and coming to the conclusion that Raphinha is the more valuable player.

I think your fairly spot on there actually.
and he won't sign for Villa or Newcastle. He'll only leave for CL football.
So it's Chelsea or RM for me.
If a suitable offer doesn't come in, I can see him agreeing to stay till the January window.
So he puts himself in the shop window at the WC and still gets to sign for a CL team at the business end of the competition and at a lower fee as he'll be later in his contract.

Still hopeful Carlo comes in for him

As you say, outside of a specific Bielsa system, there seems to be huge risk.

Creativity mostly. His assists were down this year but some of the deeper numbers weren't much worse.

Nigel Reo-Coker coming in with some absolute bobbins on the subject of Richarlison and DCL.

Which The Liverpool Echo, for some reason, thought deserved its own article.

I'd love 10 more who bought not the club like Richarlison. Him and Pickford kept us up last season. Reo Coker is Just one more ex player talking shabite in order to earn a few shillings.

The market is set by what someone is willing to pay. The market for Richarlison is not going to be the same as the market for Nunez or Pepe because no one is willing to pay that numbers.

Now you're going to say don't sell and I personally don't see that as an option because we will either go down, lose him for a lot less next summer, or very possibly both.

Or he has a god world cup, very possible BTW, and we sell him for what we think he is worth in January or next summer.

Next summer when he has one year left we will not be getting substantially more than right now. It's just not a real possibility.

I think I said January or next summer actually, he will start most of Brazil's games and may well be one of the stars of the show, if that is the case then yes, he will be worth significantly more after the world cup than he is now. Whether that happens or not only time will tell, but, you have no more idea than I do what his value will be after the world cup.

Fair point. I havent really looked at the assist stats to be fair.

Richarlison is a much better goalscorer and defensive contributor though. Hes younger, played at the higher level for longer, and has far greater international recognition.

We probably have more incentive to sell.

Of course we can sell Gomes mate.

22m, 5 year contract = If we sold him for 17million, we would make a FFP profit.

So we COULD sell him, I think its unlikely we will.

He's actually not that far ahead with the defensive part for me
