let's keep this on topic.Pants pulled down again.
Derby, QPR, Bury, Leeds in the early 00s; we’re nowhere near.I we
are so!
Do you have faith that we’ll do this? If the whole FFP and sustainability is true, how much of the deal will actually go into new players?
It's all relative.
What other club with the resources we have had in recent years, has had so much decline, and ended up in financial trouble?
I posted on here a while ago that the sort of numbers some were talking about for him were wide of the mark. If the numbers being reported are correct you have pulled Spurs pants down.
Wow I hear some say but he really isn’t at the top level. Yes he plays for Brazil and yes he is very much a focal point for Everton supporters but the fact that so few of the money clubs were in for him tells the tale.
I know that Spurs will be playing a lot of games next season but I am not sure that he will be close to a regular starter at Spurs and that will be a factor as will the fact that in terms of fans favourite he will be way down the pecking order that will all impact on his ego.
The sale will probably give you a boost in FFP terms but it will be interesting to see how you spend it because spend it you must
In times of trouble, a little bit of hyperbolic remarks are always helpful. We’re far from the worst run club ever although we’re definitely not ran well.
I don’t think £50 million initial fee and £50 million cash straight away are even close to being one and the same.Devils advocate here but I reckon 50 million cash straight up is pretty decent fee for him - plus the add ons…
I think he flattered to deceive tbh and his (fair enough) insane work ethic meant he was given a pass for his lack of quality.
I loved richy but Strangely I think he’s an easier player to replace than DCL would be - and I think it’s a real opportunity to get a couple of decent additions in the attacking areas (cue new contact for tosun).
Financial trouble is like what Derby are in. We are just limited by what we could spend by regulations and we would spend if it wasn't because of this.
Huge difference. There is no guarantees Richarlison wouldn't have left even if we didn't have to comply, he is probably fed up with the lack of progress just like the rest of us.
Ahh the old “Richarlison has a massive ego” mythI posted on here a while ago that the sort of numbers some were talking about for him were wide of the mark. If the numbers being reported are correct you have pulled Spurs pants down.

We are going have to agree to differ but just as you can quote players who went for more I can quote names of players like Harland, like Mane ( and yes I know all about release clauses ) who are far better players and went for less in today’s market as opposed to the players that left in the pre COVID football world.I personally think it's a very good deal for Spurs given other far lesser players (Sancho, Pepe etc) went for over £70m. We certainly haven't pulled Spurs pants down at 50-60m.
He's one of the main reasons why we stayed up last year. He dragged others with him into giving performances. His attitude is top drawer despite the negativity he recieves sometimes from the press. He is a 1 goal in 3 forward, and that is a good record for a mainly wide player in this league.
I wish him well, and he deserves his move because he is one of the few we could rely on to give 100% every week, even when carrying a knock. I do think this is the wrong move for him though, with the lack of guaranteed game time.
Do we know the terms of the deal?I think we are selling him primarily because we have to. That's why we haven't been able to get his full value.
