2021/22 Richarlison

Watford signed him for like £11m, he played 30 odd games, scored 5 goals and sold him for £50m as 21 year old - a player who had a woeful second half of his debut Prem season.

Everton sign him for £50m, develop him into a full international - remove any doubt about the lads ability and sell him for £50m (then deduct Watford/Richarlison fees) and £10m add ons.

This Everton board...

I expected him to leave, but to a bigger club than Spurs and for a little more money.

Concerned about the clubs ability to replace him - Thelwell and Lampard have so little credentials in recruitment.
First question is surely how much of the cash do they get to reinvest?

I'm a big Lampard supporter, and have been from day 1, but it's very hard to judge him or Thelwell, when we have no clue just how bad our finances are. What they have inherited here, is a complete shambles, and no one wants to take responsibility and resign over it. How the board remain in position after the last season, I will never know.

If it's only £50m, it's a terrible piece of business.

If it's £60m, it's not great but not terrible, although still on the low side given other deals.

I don't think we've got great value for the player at £50m +£10m figures being quoted. There are far worse players like Sancho and Pepe who went for far more. I want to know why we have sold for less than those players.

If it is through absolute necessity to improve finances, then let's see some resignations from the board due to the mismanagement. Let's hear from Farhad on how he managed to get us to the point where we have to sell our best player to Spurs.

Sancho is younger, English, generally overhyped who went to a club wanting a marquee signing at any cost.

Pepe was just ridiculous business but on the back of the fact he was 23 and scored 22 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 he was seen as the next big thing.

A pathetic £50M + add ons to a team incapable of reaching the targets where significant add ons even come into effect.

This is the crime of the century.

Dont worry we will give £20 mill back to them for Harry Winks. Levy will make us pay the transaction fees.

Dont you love having a billionaire accountant as owner, who know more then the rest of us.

With our finances and the fact nobody else appeared interested Spurs had us over a barrel.

Oh, Levy wont be satisfied with this. There'll probably be first dibs on Gordon if he so wishes to rip him off us 12 onths from now.

This ownership and board need to be swept into the Mersey.

It's all out war with them from now on.

They need hounding out as a matter of urgency.

There will be utter bedlam down there next season if we dont start well.

The other sickening thing here is that so many of our so called fans have been aiding this by de-valuing him on football forums.

Clueless, absolutely clueless people.

We are selling because we have to sell. And when you are in that position, you will always struggle to get full value.

The problem is that we got to this position in the first place. The deal was never going to be in our favour once we found ourselves in this mess.

The board should be resigning on bloc over this. There is no reason for anyone to have confidence in any of the club's leadership - not Moshiri, not Kenwright, not any of the other board members. The only person I have confidence in right now is Lampard, but he needs help.

Ditto ^^^^

Wonder how Prentice will spin this one
