His strengths are his workrate and how that benefits the team. He can score around 10 a season in a poor team like ours, so I'd expect 15+ for Spurs. His weaknesses include poor finishing and his theatrics. That's one thing I will be glad to see the back of.

As for your other comment, I agree entirely about where you are currently. A few levels above Everton and our fans need to accept that.

That being said, I suspect the lack of respect you receive from our support and also other clubs fans is because you will never be taken seriously as a top club whilst you have a laughable league title haul to your name. It must be the worst, or at least one of, for all the so called super clubs in Europe. And it's not just that, it's how long ago you did it. How many on here will have known Everton as the top club in the land compared with Spurs?

You haven't won a league title for over 60 years and until you change that you will never get the respect your fans crave, not just from Evertonians, but many other fanbases.

I hope so, mate. There is a great player in there if his head can be put right, and he showed glimpses when played last season but there must be serious issues considering his fall from grace. Fingers crossed that Frank can love him back to somewhere near his best.

Wish it was for a higer fee, but if we have agreed a lower price with a greater lump sum up front, not paid over multiple years as most transfers are, then it is impossible to turn down in our current financial position. We then need to use that prudently in this window (loans with options/obligations to buy, fees over the course of a contract etc...) so that we can maintain and recover our FFP position the next couple of seasons until revenues increase with the new stadium. Sadly we have to accept there are consequences to the blatant mismanagement of the past few years.

As I said previously, Spurs are known as a cup team, not as league champions. That is the reality. Cups are a lottery, look at the kopites successes in what are essentially lotteries. You may not like to admit it but the league is what sets the best teams apart.

At least Watford are only getting 2million for any profit above the 40mil as said a while back, so not losing out to much in that sense, though i thought we should have got a touch more than 70mil

The sad reality is that current players look at current form and current qualifications. I highly doubt for example Haaland considered how bad city were when his dad was there when he signed.

Hopefully we replace him correctly.
