I don't think Benitez will force him out but I expect he'll want to leave if we don't get top 6 and Benitez might see him as a good way of raising funds to strengthen the overall team and squad.
He'll be leaving either way next year I think. The club will be banking on it

I agree - he'll have 2 years left on his deal next summer. His book value will be somewhere in the region of £14m at that point - the profit we bank on him will fund a lot of what we do over the next couple of years
Honestly can’t see anyone paying more than £30/40m next Summer if he has another average season.

And btw, we shouldn't be worrying about this. As long as the club plan for this, selling players shouldn't ever be a massive issue. The recruitment part of the club should be planning for this at least a year in advance to make sure we get the most appropriate replacement in. Of course, therein lies the problem.

I'd like to think targetting Diaz (who is a different player but also relatively similar in a lot of ways to Richarlison) could be a good succession plan.
But that's the point. If you sell your better players, you should have your replacements ideally in before they leave, so they've had time to adjust to the league, the team etc.
I just re-watched the Rodwell red card from years ago the other day. How a referee can see that as a red card and not think the tackle on Richarlison was even a free kick is pretty incredible.
Atkinson is incompetent and I worry any time he is reffing one of our matches. There's nothing we can do about it, but he's by far one of the poorest refs. Just look at his performance yesterday.

Defo be gone on the summer. Hopefully a good season to get the price up. Im fine with if it finances the squad build. All clubs around our level do it well. WH will do it with Rice next year
