You dont think he's a goner next season?

Its been on the cards for years Ancelotti was given assurances of 12 months from him last season.
He will be a huge loss when or if he goes.

The ridiculous acceptance of "fans" of selling our finest assets, appointing the most divisive manager in history, 14th is fine!!!!!! Top half is fine!!! We will rebuild next season, etc etc is simply baffling.

I tell ya what let's get the fire sale started now shall we? May as well now we have written off the bloody season already and are willing to accept less than mediocre as ok!

Great NSNO and all that!!!

Some fans definitely had their standards plummet since Carlo left. The league is really unimpressive this year when you look past the four clubs that are clearly above the rest.
There is no reason we can’t finish above Leicester still relying on an aging Vardy or a NES Spurs team or Arteta Arsenal.
If we get lucky with injuries and the current situation is a short blip and we’re in the mix come January, who’s to say we don’t reinforce after getting James off to Qatar and get into Europe next season?
This could still mean Richarlison leaves if a huge Champions League club comes in but let’s not write off this season completely for a rebuild next…

Fans standards are determined by the club leadership. When Moyes was here, the accusation was we were shopping in Aldi whilst our rivals where in Harrods.
Now, we're not shopping. We're rummaging around in the footballing waste recycling centre. Its not inspiring

In terms of "life" its not that important but in terms of the passion, affinity, love for the Club and its history, that feeling of "family" its all very depressing really.

We wanted an investor, we got one, we wanted to spend, we did, we want success........and therein lies the rub.

For me and it is just my humble observation, Moshiri has to shoulder a lot of the responsibility, he is an astute, successful businessman it just hasn't transferred to running Everton.

Have to disagree with that. The strongest League we’ve seen for some time. Yeah there’s 4 clubs above the rest but just below them, West Ham are impressive, Villa too for me, Leics relying on an ageing Vardy? Daka is ready to step in. There’s no way we’re finishing above Leics. Just because Arsenal & Spurs have become whack doesn’t take away from that.

If Leicester are realistic their best chance of Champions League is winning the Europa League. No one is catching the top 4 so later on the season they will have a decision to make. West Ham are like us decent first team but a couple of injuries will see them struggle. Villa will be up and down as they are settling players in. Spurs and Arsenal are likely to be in the push for 5th as well. I can see us finishing anywhere from 5th if we avoid injuries once we get players back right down to 10th if we get a few injuries and 14th if it continues like it is. Unfortunately I can't even see 5th being enough to convince Richarlison to stay. He is gone next summer whatever I'm gutted but all we can hope is he has an extremely good season and we at least get a decent price.

For me, Leics, West Ham, Spurs & Villa are definitely finishing above us. Arsenal will be nowhere near a push for 5th. They’ll be fighting it out with us to finish top half. 9-11 is more realistic for us,

In fairness pulling Gray and Townsend out of the waste recycling centre shows that getting in lads who want to prove themselves and have some fire and desire within, on a fraction of the millions and millions wasted previously on over paid, over priced, unmotivated wasters might actually be the foundation on getting this club back on track both on the field and financially. Everton shopping in Harrods and losing their receipts on faulty goods over the last few seasons hasn't worked out too well at all.

Ultimately, you can survive selling your best players... just look at Leicester.

But we're in a position where if DCL and Richarlison go, we've got nothing to replace it with, and I don't trust Brands to replace it with anything solid.

We've got to try and retain Richarlison, but just don't think long term it's sustainable. Next Summer is a really pivotal moment with Richarlison and Everton, as he will be entering his final two years, and that's the beginning of the drop in value we'll receive.

These past two games have done nothing, but show me how important he is to this club.

Great being a blue isn't it?

Richie will be sold next summer. That's fairly obivious. I think also fair for him. Everton should have plans in place. But I dont trust they do. A lukaku situation could developed.

Richie has been excellent for us. Even when not scoring he works so hard. Getting back, making runs. Ya he sulks, throws himself to the ground but gives it 100% in every game and has ability. Give me those 2 attributes in an everton player 7 days a week

I can't see any reason for Richy to stay and I'm not sure CL will be here come the summer either, although I know many will be happy for him to go. (I'm not one of them). How bad is our squad compared to the woeful seasons of 93-94, 97-98 or 2003-4? Should we be seriously worried or do we have enough to comfortably stay mid table this season, and pray we have money to spend in the summer.
