Richarlison

Just no, wages would be too much and a crazy risk with his injury record.

If Spurs are selling for £12 million to clear the squad, fair enough. But shouts of a knockdown price of £40 million (remember, Spurs only paid £50 million plus £10 million in add ons) is ludicrous.

I'd not even be showing interest until Spurs deffo say he's 100% surplus to requirements.
Price only goes up doing that.
Nah leave it and see what his true valuation in the market is when the time comes.
Truly can't see many clubs valuing him
anything like Spurs will.
A nice little crafty deal is needed here.
I think he'd be a cracking impact sub for us and i think he'd pull his plums off to do well here.
So for me it's a yes if deal is a no brainer.....otherwise swerve and use the cash for a nailed on first teamer

I loved him for his attitude and respect for the club but he wasn't that good even at his best, so after 2 years of being unable to stay fit he'd be a hard swerve for me. If he hadn't been here before there'd be no argument about it at all, I hope the days of us signing players for those reasons are gone now.
This is exactly it. I loved him too - a man you could be proud of - but not that consistently good a player. He was very in and out and his finishing was deeply suspect for long periods.

I think he'd be the most popular signing in recent times. The proverbial roof would come off when he ran out at BMD. I don't know why we love him but we do. Don't see it happening though

We like him because he's a genuine guy who has a genuine love of the club. The old sentimental in me says it'll be nice to see him back but the football head says swerve as his best days are behind him and the reason we got in a mess in the first place is by buying past peak castoffs from 'bigger' clubs

I think it depends on the wages and the price, certainly a good replacement for DCL but perhaps not on the wages he had at Spurs

There is a hope that the mental issues that he obviously went through are one of the reason why his physical wellbeing has not been the best. Football is about emotion and you feel that his heart belongs with Everton. There is a genuine connection with the fans and within modern football that is a rare thing indeed. In my opinion he still has something to give on the pitch, so along with this connection it is a yes from me.

A side point for me but has the constant go to analysis being financials just taken a little bit of emotion away from discussions like this. Far too many accountants and not enough football fans in this thread. 'At the right price' this and 'only if the wages are lower' that.

If he comes back and starts scoring goals are you celebrating the goal itself or are you getting a calculator out and celebrating the fact that his goals per transfer fee has gone down by a thousand quid.
