Did you know him? If not then its probably incorrect to cast aspirations to his character whether good or bad. All we know is the given evidence and we will have to wait for the conclusion of the investigation. If you think the system is corrupt then either do something to change it or live somewhere else instead of moaning about it.

I havn't said saint or sinner. Only pointed out my disgust at the guy being executed, the lies surrounding him having shot at police, and my total lack of surprise at the neanderthals and cretins crowing about him being dead and how much of a good thing that supposedly is. So far as the investigation goes, Menezes was never properly solved, Tomlinson is still waiting for justice, and the current prime minister has effectively branded vast amounts of young disenfranchised black men as 'sick'.
Oh, and if you don't like my ''moaning'' there is always the ignore option or simply not replying (let alone quoting me) if you have no time for me and my point of view.

I wouldnt ignore anyone for rationally stating their opinion but the tone of your posts seemed to read as the polar opposite to those who "crowed" at his death, taking sides with the victim without full knowledge of the facts, which noone has currently.
With your reference to previous cases, although bearing in mind each case should be treated individually, im sure if you trawl the web you can find cases of officers being disciplined for firearms misconduct. Im unfamiliar with civilian rules but if they are similar to military rules of war then they are clear and stringently applied. Whether you think the system is institutionally corrupt or not is up to you.

page 43. Some great stuff. As fr as page 42 no one has yet mentioned Duggan didn't shoot at anyone. Just like Tomlinson didnt attack or obstruct anyone, just like Menezes didnt have a puffer jacket full of semtex on. Still. "Ban Him FFS".

Barely scanned a page back and saw this. Present me with firstly proof the victim wasn't armed and then the firearms rule that states that the only allowed to discharge your weapon if someone fires first. Without just naming previous police shootings, or are we to believe every police shooting has been unlawful?

Ask yourself why the story was pushed that he had shot at police in the first place. Remind you of a jacket full of explosives story from a while back?
And executed is the right word, because that is what happened, he was shot in the heart. Not the leg, not the shoulder, not the foot, the heart.
Also, seeing as he is now dead, he will never be able to testify as to whether the gun found was his or was one of the spares the gun squad keeps for 'special' cases.
And some guy in his 20's died last week having been tazered and put in a cell, only when he collapsed was he rushed to hospital where he then died.
When roaming death squads can do what they want without fear of being punished, Adolf Hitler will have got his final solution.

In firearms training you are advised to aim for the body's central mass so I would expect most shots to be aimed there. Police firearms rules are in the public domain, give them a quick read and come back to me with proof this is an unlawful killing. Then contact the papers because boy oh boy, you gotta scoop on your hands.
